My brother has died

I was just notified that my brother died a couple hours ago. I am totally devastated.

    I am so sorry! No wonder you're devastated. I wish I could find lovely words to say, but there really are none. Grief is a terrible thing. :(

    Thank you, everyone, for your sympathy and support 

    I was the youngest of three sons in my Dad's first marriage. I am the only survivor. I lost my middle brother around 1987, at the age of 38 (I think).

    My Dad is on his third marriage, and living with his wife in a nursing home. My step mother is on Hospice right now. My Dad is likely to pass away soon after his wife dies.

    Our family has moved around over our lifetimes.. Sometimes I followed my parents. I had not seen my brother for over 30 years. My brother stayed in Minnesota while I moved around.

    By 2014 my family had settled again in Minnesota. I moved into the same elderly apartment building where my brother lived. In the 10 years after my return, the family never got close. We never were.

    Now the family is gone. Take it from me. Be sure to let your loved ones known that you care. You never know when someone might die.
