Ally 9 Bundle in my lightning deals for just under $15. It's a nice price, and at the 3 items I have wishlisted from it, they'd be at $5 each, plus another outfit I could potentially use parts of, but sadly, the rest of the bundle is useless to me (meh makeup and two unusable hairs), so I'm on the fence. Normally, I probably wouldn't look twice, but this month's offers didn't put me in a spending mood, so I'm less prone to impulse buying anything.

  • So the SAVE6 coupon only applies to 801 of the 55,670 items in the store at the moment?

    Sad panda, I am.

LDs are running cold for me right now. Just how it goes, just as well right now.

..,I checked each category after 0:00 DAz Time Monday and the items in first were G9, the second G8.1 and G8, and the last G8.

A moot point because it is now Tuesday and it's a new sale day.

If you mean the Blowout, it is still good today. Unfortunately, I'm pretty broke. If August Daz+ coupons are active early (it happens sometimes), I *might* be able to get one thing. If not, I will just be waiting for another (Friday) sale. And finishing up a couple pieces

..,ah thanks, I just checked.  However, just as broke myself at this time of the month as well.  Waiting on my pension deposit which should arrive on Thursday (have to stretch what funds I have for another day).

My last purchase of the month was on Friday when I picked up the Bunny Dreams for G8 outfit (on Lightning Deals) and the Tank MRT for a total of 86¢ (after using my 6$ Daz+ DO coupon).  Rarely do I see something I actually like and can use on the Lightning Deals.

  • TFW you're just clicking around the ol' Daz Emporium, wander over to the Lightning Deals page, and spot an incredible deal... that expires in 17 seconds...

I filled and finished my "I really, really want that someday" list, with a good sale on Daz figures.

I can't stand this way of buying, though -- high prices most of the time, scanning the sale pages all the time waiting for the sudden major drops. It's budget-destroying, since it's impossible to plan. Now, though, my library is nigh replete with Daz genres I'm interested in, it's time to change.  When my Daz+ subscription expires in about 3 weeks, I'm probably not renewing. I'll switch to picking up 1-2 items a month, to a maximum of about $25 (but uncapped for certain artists, like mal3Imagery).

I'm still sales-haunting through the next 3 weeks of August. Then I stop.

Congratulations to everyone that's able to get deals on long-awaited items. I feel like Socrates wandering through the marketplace beholding all the things I don't need.

I don't mind the bargain-hunting aspect of it all. I suspect it fills some primitive impulse - I could be wrong! It is easier on my pocketbook, though I may be approaching a point where there are a few things I will simply have to pay more for to get. They're tutorial items, not content. Content... I've got all I actually need from now 'til the end of time, I think. The rest is stuff I'd like to have - or not? indecision

It seems that there's an error happening with the "Save6 PA Coupon" filter. Not only did it filter out all sorts of things on my wishlist that DO qualify for the coupon, the only two items it did not filter out are 100% NOT eligible (both being New Releases).

Would've bought some stuff yesterday with the coupon had I known, but TBH the sales today are pretty good as well and I'm sure I can find something to buy. Guess it's trial-and-error with the Cart for the time being until the filter is fixed.

I hope! TBH this took place 17 seconds before 3 AM, local time, as I was clicking around in an insomnia-fueled haze (note to self, no more hot chocolate before bedtime). Did I dream the entire thing? Perhaps! Gave me a good chuckle at the time. There's always another sale...

does buying here ever stop? It is an unending path of new, and then the sales on the old. I used to stay a generation or two back on computers. I think it may be the solution to maintaining a budget here at DAZ as well. I've tried staying away, not buying, etc., but sooner or later, mostly sooner, the will evaporates. There's always another sale.

Lightning Deals served me https://www.daz3d.com/oni-warrior-bundle for $3.69 this morning (92% off). On the scale of deals I've got lately, this wasn't a great deal. But it was a nice offer and I got it. I like the character and he comes with an outfit and poses. I can/will use him. So that was good. :D

I feel like I actually am pretty lucky with these things - I've heard plenty of people say LD has never served anything good, and LD serves me some goodies on a regular basis. I feel bad more people don't get more goodies 'cause it is a lot of fun when it clicks!

Lightning Deals provide me with enough good purchases to keep my interest. Yesterday I got Joan 9 for just over $5.00, and about a week ago I got Sophia 9 for the same amount. Sometimes I find a nice environment for a good price. Clothing and hair offers are usually for generations that I have never downloaded or used, but that's okay; I'm happy to get G9 and G8 characters. The LD strategy is working on me- I keep checking the site throughout the day (evenings as well).

    This soon ?

I was under the impression that there is a delay during which a product can't be part of a LD selection (around one year from what I observed because I don't think I had a product younger than that in my LDs).

Woo, finally some values! Since I was going to buy Bixie anyway, I looked a few pages deep in the "up to 80% off" featured artist category and discovered that Death 9 and Lahr the Lion are now affordable--about ten each on page, seven each in cart, six each with my two tokens.

Given that in general I find that G9 figures range from "a little too expensive" to "I cannot believe they have the gall to ask this price," sales like this are extremely welcome.

    Beautifully phrased. Thank you.

Also, feel you hard on that one... there are a few things that are *close*, but not quite. If the rest of the month had been a bust, I'd probably pick up a couple things just to entertain myself, but my coupons are long gone and I still haven't tried out all the toys I already have. Maybe tomorrow for deals stacks nicely once my coupons are refreshed.

No... This place is DAZ 3D Slots Casino. Like spinning wheels, pulling levers, flashing lights, fun game sounds, the daily item release, daily specials, and random flash sales are all meant to give us a continual search for a dopamine hit. We go a while disheartened because we don't see something new we like while waiting for something old we can't afford yet...then... *FLASHING LIGHTS* DING, DING, DING, DING *FLASHING LIGHTS* That thing we wanted at a great deal or something we didn't know we wanted. *DOPAMINE HIT* Back hooked and ready to keep looking for another winner. • FYI (especially if you don't look at the freebie page):

About 1/3 of the G9 https://www.daz3d.com/kin-and-prisma-mega-bundle (Kin character, Kin hair, Kin poses & Angie Cuffed Jeans) are free every day (see https://www.daz3d.com/free-3d-models). If you're interested in that mega bundle, you'll save about $2 by buying https://www.daz3d.com/Prisma-wild-and-free-for-genesis-9-bundle and the other 4 items individually, instead.

One last fine collection of longed-for items, since Daz+ coupons turned over and the nice sale is still running.

Alas, a new discipline is now in place. I will buy a gift card of predetermined amount near the end of the month, and spend from that.

    • No exceeding the amount except to buy mal3imagery bundles.
    • Daz+ again if I get a sufficiently good offer.
    • If I discover further missing product parts during the great Daz-to-Blender export project, I can buy them, regardless of timing.

My opportunistic buying to build a library now is finished.

  • I didn't do as much buying this month due to being sick for 3+ weeks, as I mentioned a few pages back. Off work for a week and then the second week what little energy and brainpower got used for work.

But I just checked my orders & it looks like I got more than I thought, and most of it free! The Daz+ freebies of course; plus the July Biweekly-ish freebies (as I call them) were better than usual, especially the current set.

Plus at midmonth there was a no-coupon promo good enough that I got the base G8 morph sets* and https://www.daz3d.com/alicia-armor-outfit-for-genesis-3-female-s for the low, low price of my $6 Daz+ coupon. Maybe it was a flash sale?

Finally, I got https://www.daz3d.com/arcturian-hd-for-genesis-9 for $5 at the end of July and just today I used my August Daz+ for https://www.daz3d.com/dav-sidra-hd-for-genesis-9-feminine. I am counting Sidra as part of my July haul because that coupon code showed up the evening of 7/31, although I couldn't get it to work until after Daz mignight.

*I managed without so long because I got Sickleyield's 200 free G8 morphs as soon as she released them.

Sometimes I'm not sure if Daz are trolling or if they just don't really understand incentives etc

Today it seems in order to get something at $2.99 (a potentially tempting price) you need to buy something brand new, from a limited selection of pretty much all Gen9 stuff.

And your selection of $2.99 items, all Gen2 or older...easy skip day

There was a sale applying up to a 85% extra discount on non new items if you only had non new items in your cart around that time.

Yeah, I get they want to push their new stuff, but so often it's not a diverse selection. So if you're not into whatever's on offer (very easy), there's really no point in getting anything.

Yeah, $2.99 is way too much for those as the base price tops at around $26 and it's non stacking - Those are items I pick up when they can be bought at around $1 or less.

For a bunch of those itmes 1$ is quite generous. I would say $2.99 for all 10 or around 30 cents each. The supposed sale price does not even stack with tokens... lol
