So was that a lie then? It's past turnover, but the banner persists. I used it yesterday so I can't test whether it still works today despite explicitly stating it should have already expired.
Don't see that banner on the site although it's still there in messages.
But what I also do not see are any attractive Black Friday deals. There have been IMO far better offers during the last big sale.

On the sales page. I've three. IIRC yesterday when I had two, the third one had a grey circle icon rather than a green gift.
"Black Friday" (sale), in the strictest sense, will last the whole weekend, I guess, but this seems to be part of a month-long sale that will last until Christmas (slowly fading until New Year's Eve). You know, this thing with punch cards and so on. So, as usual, there won't be anything special during this Black Friday sale that you won't be able to catch up on later.

The 30% will be applier once an item is in the cart, except for Lightning Deals on which it's already applied.
It's impossible to have all three checked as there have only been 1 punch day so far. (I don't think pre-punch purchases count.) So it might be visual display error. (If I remember correctly, there were some display errors last year, weren't there?)
So apparently, "All Artists ARE Featured Artists", but not all items in Featured Artist stores are included in the sale.
I suspect this style of sale (ie with punch cards and a daily item at 2.99) will last at least until christmas, and quite likely until the new year. I am not seeing anything that indicates that black Friday will be much different than any other day in this sale, except that for today at least, all artists are on sale.
I think they did count, I had three punches to start yesterday, with the corresponding discount.
Yeah... pretty typical of the other sales of that sort that I've noticed.

I'm anticipating some better cyber monday deals here; so far the black friday ones have been pretty ish. Charging up the punchcard just in case.
Probably still works if the banner is still up. I used it yesteday too, and it doesn't work doubles. Maybe the marketing team is still in a food coma. <3

...two days left to the month and both coupons still unused. Given problems I've seen with people on the forums having their coupons not work on the final day of the month, I wouldn't risk waiting for tomorrow.
Guess I pick a random DO off my wishlist and burn it on that -- it'll be the first month I only got one item out of it instead of at least two.
And the $6/$18 one goes to waste for a second month in a row.
I was hoping Black Friday or Thanksgiving or *something* would impress me, but no luck.
I thought both my Daz+ coupons were going to go to waste too. Luckily for me I got a handy Lightning Deal pair of DOs virtually free with the DO coupon yesterday.
But I'm still finding it hard to use the PA one because all the decent deals this month for things I actually wanted have been based on using another coupon. Maybe tomorrow...
I was hoping lightning deals would deliver for the $6 DO coupon.. No luck so far. Otherwise I've ground it down to 2 possibilities. I'll pick one tonight and that will be the end of it - A whimper not a bang. Oh well. Long vacation from Daz approaching. My d+ expires 12/18 and I have no plans to start a monthly subscription. Real life intrudes and Daz is a luxury.
Yeah, I'm sitting here going, "Well, maybe March Madness." (Even though for me -- aside from the St. Pat's thing -- the sale didn't get worthwhile until the very end.)
Ah well. Less time shopping is more time rendering. It'd just be nice if the two coupons they advertise as being part of the perks of membership were a little perkier.

Ooh, thanks for reminding me that it's still the 29th in the US! Almost used my PA coupon on a cart I didn't really like because it's already past midnight and thus the 30th here. Tomorrow will be a MUCH better day to use it, cool!
Just FYI, the special item shaders by Silas3d from today - which I do think are really really cool - add up to 2.3 GB zip file size, so def not a lightweight. The texture sizes don't seem outlandishly large though. Maybe they used uncompressed PNG, which would be a bummer. Anyways, just so you know if you have a smallish storage like me.
A few years ago one of the forum users suggested using each coupon on the first cart of the month they could apply to, not waiting to see if there was a better/cooler sale later. I've been thinking that might be the best advice, if I stick around. It was unusual I used my $10 on $25 in early November. Whether I am in Daz+ or Premier, the PA ($X off $Y) has always been the hardest one for me to use, probably because I seldom have a cart that reaches the minimum. For my $10 off I will probably use your Random WL DO method. We could do worse. (Hmm that could be a new Render Your Buys category: "Coupon was about to expire.")
Also not into either the BF or Holiday sales. So far the only things I've "bought" since the (pre) BF sale started are freebies of one sort or another.
Sounds really cool, I'm not worried about hard drive space, I'm worried about enough video card memory...
I haven't decided what I should buy with a dollar today, and this makes me even more hesitant.
It's not a bad advice, but in my case, I had not a single $18 cart this month to use one of my coupons. It's not even that all the good deals required another coupon (but probably part of it). I have not built an appealing cart of $18 elligible items. Same for DO items coupon. So I wasn't holding out for some better potential deal. I was looking for any chance to actually use those coupons. But when every deal requires another coupon to be applied, it's even harder to find something.
Maybe tomorrow. With two punches (got the cheap items as they were of interest, and I like this week's Daz+ releases), I might be able to put something together, depending on what kind of sales we'll have.
