Basic ( I assume) Deforce Clothing question

Hello :)

I am new to DAZ3d - I can do basic renders and am following the daz3d masterclass youtube tutorial, but I am not very far with it yet.

I have a question about dforce clothes - the few I have (a mime ourfit and a party dress) but they just stick out like cardboard. Can someome please tell me how to make them drop with gravity?

I have attached photos so you can see what I mean.

Warm regards,

Adam

You need to run the simulation. If you are using the standard "City Limits Lite" view, which I believe is the default when you first load Daz Studio, there is a tab at the bottom of the left-side navigation called Simulation Settings.

After you pose your character, click that tab and then click the blue "Simulate" button. The first time you do it after a Daz install, it needs to do some compiling and will tell you so.

  • A really big thank you ChezJuan! I had been clicking around trying to add dforce gravity nodes etc, and all I needed to do was click the blue 'simulation' button. Thank you so much for your help :)
