This is AWESOME!! it must have taken forever to render out?? I love the use of expressions throughout, it really sells the characters and makes the whole thing quite magical. Fantastic work, I'd love to be able do some decent animations and appreciate the amount of work you've put in here! Color me very impressed (my partner really enjoyed it too and also commented the expressions were icing on the cake!)
What an amazing Video what a great tribute to Micheal Jackson!!!!
I bet he would be majorly impressed with the details of that video!!!
and like KA1 said the expressions were spot on!!!
It is just too bad you didn't do the grave scene where they came out of their graves then start to dance but still truely amazing video
Hellow Kai.
Thank you so much for your comments. Yes, the render time was challenging I always start my renders at night and leave them going for a few hours if going out of the house for a while... its just a matter of scheduling it, and keeping notes about each of the scenes. I'm glad your partner liked the expressions... I always feel that it makes the character seem to be thinking for themselves, and come to life. Without the expressions, and facial changes the character looks dead. There were many layers of animation on all the characters but especially the rabbit. He had around 12 layers. I am now quite knowledgable at the Thriller dance moves, as some times you need to act them out a little yourself to get a feel for how the character needs to be posed.
Thanks again!
Hi Saphirewild
You are very kind and thank you for your message.
I was hoping that Michael Jackson would have liked the video. It sure made me appreciate how much work went into that video I started off with just three characters, and then added the others as I felt that it needed more dancers. Although, this really did increase the amount of animation work, and render time of course. I will likely add more details for which I am keeping notes as I think of them. Maybe the scene where a zombie pops-up out of the ground would be good to add also. Doing another "round" for the entire video takes approximately eight-twelve months so its a huge investment in time and effort, so I will need to take a rest for a while as I only recently completed the 3D stereo versions of the Bunny Thriller.
Thank you again!
