    Soo, I haven't bought the product yet, but I got to ask this;

If you apply the prop, delete prop minion and save the scene as a scene subsect, will the prop 'remember' it was minioned?

Yes, it will. The props transformations are saved in the scene file (or scene subset)

    So I decided to have fun and applied (nearly) all generations onto this figure;

The Staff is from Victoria 4

    The Cigar from Genesis

    The Shield from Genesis 2

And the Monocle from Genesis 8.

All were applied in one session without issue.

I am sure it has hurt me in sales as it is not immediately obvious what the product does, unlike "On-Demand Pose Converter for G9 Poses," but I couldn't resist! laugh

Well, for what it's worth, it made me MORE interested in clicking the product. My low-verbal autistic son loves minions and will gleefully declare "Uh oh - UH OH!" whenever they appear on-screen. Anything that inspires him to a recognizable word wins my heart, so... clicky clicky, and in the cart went the G9 bundle. :)

(We have decided around here that the term for a group of them, instead of a flock or a herd or whatever, is an "uh-oh of minions.")

LOL laugh  I enjoyed the story.

I have had fun with my Bone Minions before there was even a Bone Minion product.  If you notice in my promos across several products, the Bone Doctor has a fraught relationship with the Bone Minions.  They are always trying to escape or cause grief in other ways. smiley

  • I purchased Prop Minion yesterday and I'm doing some test with it.

I noticed that when I try to move props from G8F to G2F, if I load a prop on (for instance) the 'Left Hand' bone of the G8F minion, it is correctly moved to the G2F figure.

But if the prop is loaded on 'Left Forearm Twist', Prop Minion does not seem to know what to do with it, and it ends discarded at the feet of the G2F figure.

Good catch.  I am compiling a list of ones I need to fix like this, e.g., G9 has a left hand anchor that needs to transfer props to the left hand for other generations.

    It is a sweet story.

Long before I wised up & realized I needed help from your Minions, I got a kick out of the whimsical promos featuring the good Bone Doctor and Minions, regardless of the product. In fact, my biggest "complaint" about the line is that the Bone Minions in my viewport don't look like cute skeletons. LOL. But I understand why not.

I'm a little confused on what Bone Minion modules I would need to move props between G9,G8, G8.1 and G3.

You need the ones that say for G8/G3 poses for G9:

    https://www.daz3d.com/bone-minion-for-genesis-3-poses-for-genesis-9

    https://www.daz3d.com/bone-minion-for-genesis-8-and-81-poses-for-genesis-9

The bundle is a good cost option in this case https://www.daz3d.com/ultimate-pose-converter-bundle-for-genesis-9

That will allow you to move props from g3/8 to g9.  For g9 props to g3/8, you need:

    https://www.daz3d.com/bone-minion-for-genesis-9-poses-for-genesis-3

    https://www.daz3d.com/bone-minion-for-genesis-9-poses-for-genesis-8-and-81

Again, the bundle might be a better option:

Does the Prop Minion is useful at all without Bone Minion?

    I have only purchased https://www.daz3d.com/bone-minion-for-generation-4-poses-bundle

Looks like I have missed the requirement for Bone Minions.

Well you could use the props from "Generation4" on the other Genesis generations .......until you got the other Bone Minions ......

Of course, the real power of Prop Minion is with the Bone Minions.  Without the Bone Minions, you can:

    • Quickly delete props and accessories from any figure, no matter where they are hiding in the bone hierarchy
    • Copy or move props, accessories, and even clothing items between 2 figures of the same generation in your scene

In addition, in the next update that I am working on, you will be able to:

    • Show/Hide props, accessories, and clothing on any figure

Does Prop Minion work with the newly released:

If there are props for the horse 2, yes (however, usually tack and such are "clothing" with rigging)

smiley  I am glad you like it.  (But it is a shame that tack are usually clothing which does not work)
