Problems using Geometry Editor with Geografts

Having a weird issue with a character render, it's probably a known issue, but I wasn't able to find anything on it. I've done some editing of the character's geometry, basically just hiding some surfaces. I've added them to a Selection Group because they seem to unhide every time I reload the scene, which is annoying, but manageable. However, I just added a 3rd party geograft to the character and now the Selection Group won't stay hidden at all unless I have the Geometry Tool selected. The moment I select another tool, the Selection Group becomes visible again. However, as long as the Geometry Tool is selected, the geografted element goes invisible. Does anyone know any decent workarounds for this?

A way to have the hidden state persist is to add a new bone with the Joint editor (right-click menu - it can be anywhere since it won't affect the figure), create a New face Group from the parts you wish to hide, and assign that group to the new bone as its Selection Group (top-right of Tool Settings with the Joint Editor active). I don't know if this will resolve your issue, but it might.
Geo-graft uses the technique of Auto-Hide Faces for Attachment (defined in Geometry Editor), so with the geo-graft, as long as Geometry Editor Tool, Node Weight Brush Tool, or Mesh Grabber, etc. is not activated, the Visibility status defined in Geometry Editor will be all reset to ShowAll (Unhide). However, if any of the above-mentioned tools is activated, the geometry of any geo-grafts will be "floating". That's why you found it invisible or partially invisible...
Technically, you can either add the geometry you added in Face Group / Selection Set, etc. into the Auto-Hide Faces of the geo-graft element, or go for using the way that Richard mentioned, which will be much easier.
Creating the face groups and bones did the trick perfectly! Thank you both!
