ed3D - great enhancements. Are you sure the lying parasol is not floating - if it is, the wind could blow it away.

Ed3D - very nice scene, well done.

ed3D, great idea to use the view from the beach to the sea. It is also getting more interesting every time. I think you might make the size of the radio a bit smaller. And both umbrella's are not really grounded.

I made a third entry: South Georgia beach.

The snowmen are made with Plantfactory, following a tutorial by Geekatplay. But he stopped at the arms and the nose and I found a way to add both eyes and mouth. These are both linked to the nose, because I could not find a way to add different things in different ways to the sphere (called 'urchin' in Plantfactory). It might be possible, but I found an alternative method. Actually, as generally, it is a 'snowman species', which means that there is variability and one click of a button will bring up a new variant. The penguins are from DAZ3D. The dead branches are from the Plantcatalog of Plantfactory. The terrain is an island from David B and Horo and the sky is from them as well.

Hansmar - an amazing entry, fantastic and very original idea, the snowmen and penguins are a cool addition.

Hansmar - uncommon and very nicely done beach scene entry.

Ed3D - Nice update, and nice modelling !

Hansmar - Awesome scene, love the Snowmen !

ed3D, I especially like the middle one :)

Hansmar, much fun.  Are the snowmen chasing the penguins?  That would make a great twist.

Very nice result Ed3D, however I think you should ground the umbrella especially the one standing upright.

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,633

ed3D - nicely done beach scene. I agree with mermaid about the slightly floating umbrellas.

Mermaid, Horo, Bunyip02, NGartplay, thanks very much.

Ed3D, Very nice work on your scene, but indeed, the straight-up umbrella should be grounded.

I modified the beach scene from my 1st entry, for this 3rd one. I used the Warm Filter from lens and filter and the Sunny Afternoon Hdri from Hdri Enhanced Skies. The scene is within sphere with a sunset cloud material, to add to the warm effect.

Here is my entry.  I have another one, but not sure I'll get it rendered in time.

I don't think I ever put this many objects in one Bryce file before--796 objects! The ship and beach furniture were freebies; the boat: Daz Inflatable boat and island cliffs: Nerd3D Tropical Cove Set--which is no longer available. The terrain, I created in Adobe modeler 3d from some clipart; I created the palms and papyrus in Plant Factory and everything else is Bryce. It was an adventure playing on my islandlaugh  I attempted to create sea foam and the waterfall but don't think it turned out quite like I wanted-this was quite fun, though

The inspiration was a trip I took to the Caribbean on a cruise and took an excursion to a little atoll.

That's great Rasberri.  I will give you two more days.  I leave for Cancun soon so I have to cut this off before I go.  I'll extend to Wednesday 5 pm CST.  That way I can still have my neighbors rate the images.  We're doing a bus tour on Thursday so it may take until Friday for me to get prizes out.

Greetings! I certainly enjoyed looking at all the entries and actually managed to get one in on time.

Here's my entry: "At the Beach"

Most of the objects were created in Modo except for the Genesis 2 figures and the ship by1971s. Bright trees band in Mogo. Illuminated by the sun and a solid white IBL. Rendered at 64 RPP in about two hours.

As always thanks for looking and good luck to all.

  • NGartplayNGartplay Posts: 3,109

Thanks for entering Dan.  Great beach scene.  Lots of fun going on.  It's what I'm going to be doing in just a week.

Thanks NGartplay - for the extra time! Cool that you're going to Cancun!

Thanks Horo! I always enjoy stopping by and watching what folks create here.  Awesome entries, everyone!  love the flamingo Mermaid, and the beachy toys Ed.  Beach items are always the first to go into my cart at DAZ store lol.. Hansmar, the penguins can have a day at the beach too.. can't leave them out.. considering they live there!

Dan, I like the beach deck.. It feels like I'm there!
