Marcius is back?

I'm going to go out on a strong limb here. Based on the recognizable look and style, the new characters by Pendragon make me believe the artist is the the same as Marcius. I haven't seen a post about it yet, so forgive me if it's been mentioned. If I was buying exclusive G9 stuff, I'd be a customer. I have quite a few of Marcius' G8 characters because I like the shapes. wink

I see some resemblance, but not enough to convince me.  But who knows.

  • I wonder if any of Marcius' recent G9 characters from elsewhere hold a clue wink

I had the same thought, although I couldn't remember Marcius's name.

Yes, they do, but they look better to me over there.

Some of the same characters are sold by "Marcius" on Renderhub and by "Pendragon" on CGbytes; and some of those characters used to be sold by "Marcius" here in the official store. I have to assume they are the same person.

Hi, Marcius is my uncle, I inherited his work, and since he taught me everything, I acquired the same style. I kept the store on RenderHub under his name, but he no longer makes the products. He ended up leaving 3D art a few years ago and now works with another type of art, he is an actor and has a film school here in Brazil. But I am very flattered that my work is a continuation of his. Thank you very much.

Well then ... Hello and welcome Pendragon! You've done a great job implementing what you learned. Even though it is recognizable, I do see you have added your own touches to the new characters. I really like the unique faces you create. Good luck to you and your uncle in each of your artistic pursuits.

Thank you very much, I'm trying to find my own style, however I really have a strong influence from Marcius.

Ha! Thank you @Quasar, as your very same question had been drifting in my mind for a while...
And Thank you @Pendragon for explaining the situation!
You must have learned very well, since your style (in the model and in the promos, too) really made me think you were the same person.
I did not buy any of your (plural your) stuff, yet, but only as Carrara is my weapon of choice and so I cannot use Genesis 3 and up in my favourite application.
Otherwise, I think I would collect quite a few of your models, starting with the unrivaled (to me, of course) Syph, that nearly made me buy even though I could not use her :-)
Best wishes to Pendragon and Marcius in their respective careers, then.
And I must admit that now I would be curious to see your uncle acting... :-)

This kind of questions arouse in my mind with other artists, sometimes.
For instance, what about the relationship between Isource Textures and Koba Alexander? :-)

They are the same person as far as i know. Probably already had an account set in rendo before coming with iSource Textures name/brand. If you enter Koba profile/store in rendo it actually says iSource Textures in the banner.

As for differences in products between stores. He can't sell 'HD' in rendo, but can here.

I think so as well, but I didn't know about the stores differences
