Motion Blur for Iray

I finally figure out motion blur in 3DL and I want to use it in Iray, but that doesn't work . . .

So I need an Iray upgrade/improvement to include a motion blur option!

Please, make it so!

I can't wait until we get Motion Blur in Iray which in this case is up to Nvidia to implement it.

Nvidia already has. 3DS Max can do it and it's listed as a feature of Iray on Nvidia's page. http://www.nvidia-arc.com/products/iray/rendering.html

Been waiting for this since 4.9 beta

  • According to the Nvidia iray page http://www.nvidia.com/object/iray-features.html motion blur is a built in feature of Iray, so all we need is for Daz to impliment it. . .

    +1

  • Well, this is not the motion blur that part of the Iray render engine, which we have no idea when/if it will be brought in to native Daz Studio.

Motion Blur for Iray, a script I wrote, is in Daz QA testing.

Hmm....it will do as a stop-gap measure, but it doesn't really look like motion blur.  It's more like afterimages.  Still hoping for DS to add in the needed stuff for using actual Iray motion blur.....

  • That's a sweet step in the right direction!

  • +1 for motion blur for me. I managed to get a workaround going in my last image but it involved rendering parts in 3Delight first then rebuilding the scene. If anyone is interested I can show the workflow for this (but chances are you know it already). Here's the final output:

I saw this on YouTube when I was searching for motion blur and Iray and it looks great. It's a must have for me, I already have some ideas for it :)
