Object shadows when using hdri files

I can't figure out how to get shadows to show up on HDRI screens that have a ground surface like a street or land.  I'd like for my object to appear as part of the scene and not something floating in the air.  I've seen photos of that and I was wondering if it could be done in Carrara 8.5 Pro?  I see nothing about "Shadow Catcher" in the HDRI settings.

    HI Timbo :)

Once you#ve made a simple "Shadowcatcher" shader,. you can drag it into your Browser Shaders / /My shaders,. to save it

also note that HDRi's dont have a strong direct light,. since all the pixels in the image are used for lighting ,. it's more of an overall light,.

it's a ggod idea to have a distant light or sunlight in your scene to add a strong shadow, if you need that.
