I used Candle Light the Darkness for this one in Iray in the new 4.9. I'm not happy that it took 24 hours to render and there is still noise on the tigers leg and it looks like my grandaughters stuffed one. More work to do on it but that will be later.

Still working on one but I will say that I really like the lighting on Secluded Shore.  From a 3Delight perspective, that does a lot.

I'm not clear: Is today or tomorrow the last day for submissions?

    Fugitive from the Empire

Used an old favorite, Ridge Walk Mountains with a quick IRay conversion. Toon style because, "Why not?" I'm on a toon kick at the moment.

  • Some great images.  I posted mine on your Facebook page, FB.  Hopefully, I did it correctly cause I don't usually do that sort of thing over there.  How are you liking Facebook so far?  When I do a search for your name, I get something that says 1000 people are talking about it, but you've only gotten 34 likes that I can tell so far.  I really hope that number goes up in the future.  I saw the new website, too.  Someone stuck a picture of this really cute guy on your profile page.  Who knew!  I had no clue you were so handsome!  Nice and handsome.  I think that wife of yours must be one happy lady.  :)

I've taken a small break from facebook for a while, the election nastiness got to be a bit overwhelming.  I will be posting more in the coming weeks, I'm hoping things have died down a bit. Once I get back to it, I will promote your page some more, hopefully that will help get some more likes as well.

Wow,  thank you all so much for taking the time and submitting renders.  They're all great.  I'll collect them all from here and facebook,  and post the winners tomorrow.  I love the variety and sense of storytelling in these renders.  Because of the short notice and contest length wasn't sure how the turn out would be.  I am pleasantly surprised.

Thank you for producting such great products to work with!

Well I've really enjoyed myself digging back through (a small percentage of) my FB content - some I've used recently some not so (I spend far too much time in the store and the forum and not enough time scene-building and rendering blush) So thanks for the opportunity/encouragement to do that - and thanks for the superb product line smiley

I'm just sorry I only had time to do one render.  Your stuff is some of my favorite content.

Your sets are great, FB! I had three more images, but I didn't have time to render them before the deadline. I'm glad you gave your customers a contest to participate in. Keep up the great work!

I'm about five years late on this whole social media thing.  I put together a facbook page but can't figure out why it has all those numbers in the address.

    Is this thing working?   https://www.facebook.com/FirstBastion-Daz3D-932385563560450

You need to get 25 likes, then you can change it.

So everybody go "LIKE" FirstBastion's fb so he gets those crazy numbers off of it. I just did

So this took a while.  I have no idea what kind of algorythm they have setup as a threshold to offer that "create @ username"  but it went through yesterday evening,  when the likes passed 35-36 number and around 38 followers.  It might be different for each user setup.  So thank you all for getting me there.

Here's the updated facebook address:  https://www.facebook.com/1stbastion3d

And thank you very much for your excellent submission, I'll attach it below so all the entries are here in the same place.   There is a company out there named First Bastion Tech Solutions I think they're in the Phillipines,  so I'm sure some of that traffic belongs to them.  Who knew?   Hence the reason I'm interchanging the 1st version of first.

congrats on the name change and simplification. That's three more web addresses to put on your business card in real life.

Also these are some wonderful submissions to the contest.

All right so let me explain how this works.  I wanted to celebrate the New Year.  I had posted the contest on Facebook  and here in the Daz Forums,  and since the two website can be mutually exclusive,  (not everyone wants to sign into to facebook)  I figured I would offer 3 prizes on eachsite for a total of 6.  Well the facebook participation was a little lackluster to say the least with only one very cool render by KnittingMommy which I have attached in the previous post,   and the submissions here in this thread were really impressive too.

So I'm left with no option but to get all Oprah on you guys,  so you win a choice ,  and you win a choice, and you win a choice,  everyone who submitted an artwork to the contest,   wins a choice of product from my store. I am very pleased with all the submissions.

Based on the list there and here,

    KnittingMommy
    Ostadan
    DoctorJellybean
    MelanieL
    FSMCDesigns
    IceDragonArt
    Fishtales
    ZamuelNow
    Nath
    Cybersox13
    GreyBro
    xyer0

each win a choice of 1 product from the FirstBastion store here (excluding bundles and the game license)
Send me a PM with your UserName,  email, and choice of product. I'm sure most of you know,  the email is used by DAZ to crossreference and make sure the product is placed in the correct account.  Once I get the list compiled from all of you,  I'll send it off to the Daz office all at once,  it makes it less work for the office staff there.

    Thank you!

Does it only apply to existing products in the store, or can we wait for the next one?
