So how about some crack and fracture decals or overlay shaders? Something you could superimpose over, say, an existing plaster, concrete or brick shader. That way you could have a variance of whole to crumbling structures within the same environment - or show stages of decay over time.

I did a search for 'Decals' in the store, https://www.daz3d.com/catalogsearch/result?q=decals and came up with 37, not all for hard objects but some that might answer your needs today.
And for prop destruction:

https://www.daz3d.com/gescon-ii-constructive-solid-geometry--upgrade - does require purchase of the first product.
I am sure others may know of other existing solutions, like maybe Hexagon?

If you look at these PAs, check out their stores, they may have other products I had to pass over due to lack of funds at the time, but they make excellent products.
Also look at https://www.daz3d.com/digital-delirium shaders which are often DAZ+ and come with dirty versions of a clean version.
I hope this helps you,
Mary
Thanks, Mary. Some great suggestions, there. I think the SurfaceWorx comes closest from your selection, so that's gone straight into the cart. I think the advantage of overlays is the flexibility they give you. Some of the specified grunge shaders I have - and they'e very good - but they're kind of fixed. I'm sure some bright spark will come up with something along the lines of what I described abovesooner or later! :)
