Electro-Elvis - outstanding scene, very autumn-like with the fog and leaves on the ground. And the two persons also look excellent.

Fantastic work, Electro-Elvis. Really on point for the challenge. But, do my eyes deceive me, or did you forget to set the height of the big picture to a maximum of 800, leading the scene to be horizontally compressed? The lady is less skinny in the original.

    Thank you ed3D and Hansmar.

@Hansmar: I checked the settings. I used “Lock Ratio” so I think there should be no compression. I used the dimensions of 1000 x 750 px, which are those of the original image.

It's best to set the width to 800 otherwise depending on the size of the image the width can still be wider than 800 and will break the formatting occasionally and we have to fix it to fit properly.

  • @frank0314: I see, was not aware of that. Thank you.

@Past as Future: Thanks, I saw it and will answer you soon.

frank0314 is right. My mistake to state that the height should be limited to 800; it is actually the width that should be limited to 800. Sorry for that!

Here is my first entry. Like always (and stated elsewhere) there is a balancing act, because the scene easily got too big for Bryce to handle. That is why there are only a few trees (with a few instances) and some have a blocky trunk. I noticed that, but somehow found it fits with the blocky fountain. The fallen log with fungi takes a lot of memory, by the way. The fountain is 'The fountain' a DAZ original. I modified the textures to procedural ones. The trees are from PlantFactory, modified versions of autumn tree presets from the Plant Catalog. Again, I changed textures to procedural for trunk, branches and twigs, but kept image based textures for the leaves. The heaps of scattered leaves are also from Plant Catalog. I could have done a better job with them, but decided not to bother. The water in the fountain is actually also a tree made in PlantFactory. I made it from scratch and played with procedural water textures in Bryce until I was happy. The terrain in the background and the texture of the terrain and plane are from David B and Horo, but I do not remember which ones I used. I set the sun in a position to shine through the trees for the shadow effect.

Title: Fountain in autumn. I hope to put up the next entry soon.

mermaid, excellent fall colors.  Great job of modeling your fountain.

Hansmar, that's enough trees.  We can see the fountain much better. Well done.

ed3D - all three look very nice. I think the first with the haze looks like a morning in fall/autumn.

Horo, Past as Future, Mermaid. NGartplay, Bunyip02, Thank you.

ed3D, Great scene. I also prefer the first.

My second fall-render. I call it autumn house. It has selfmade (following a tutorial) weird pumpkin plant, a Kids4 with fairy clothing, a couple of planters and some mushrooms from the Plant Catalog. The house is country house by Alfons Blom. The trees are Bryce autumn apples. The sky is a modified version of a sunset by Horo, to which I added (more) haze. This scene again needed quite some work to be possible in Bryce. Almost all the textures were modified to procedural Bryce textures, including all the textures for the house and ground, the clothing and large parts of the body of the girl (except the face) and most of the plant textures (except some leaves).  Ialso deleted invisible body parts of the girl and had to switch from a very polygon-extensive hairdo (looking great in DAZ Studio) to a more simple one. Originally, I wanted to add more pumpkin plants, but this was a no go, unfortunately. Nevertheless, the scene is to my liking this way.

Hansmar - I cannot say this is not a great fall scene, because it is one indeed and the idea is also very good, besides.
