I loaded Athena Hair to my G8F. It renders transparent. What am I doing wrong?
I am using Daz Studio 4.22.0.19.
Pics:
1) How it looks in the Viewport
2) Rendered with a backdrop colored gray
3) Rendered with an HDRI background

It's a strand based hair. Make sure you do not have geometry editor or mesh grabber on :)
In genral any of the content creation tools can be an issue - try to have a selection or posing tool active.
I exited and restarted Daz Studio, and made sure I didn't have Geometry Editor or Mesh Grabber tools active.
I loaded Athena hair to a new G8F character, and have the ActivePose tool with the arm selected. The hair is still transparent.
I "think" it's because you aren't doing a full, hit-the-render-button, render.
You are doing the IRAY preview.
Try testing it with the spot render tool or a small "full" render.
Select the hair, go into the Simulation tab under General in the Parameters pane, and make sure that "Preview PR Hairs" is set to On.
slick.
That totally worked.
Seems I was too slow - the above two posters already posted the solution. But since I already made this here is proof that they are right.
Great!
I turned on Preview PR Hairs and it worked with the Iray render preview.
Thanks!
