I am considering purchasing the 3DConnexion Spacemouse Compact. It lists Blender and DAZ Studio among the compatibile software.
1. Is this mouse for 3D compatible/functional/programmable with the current release of DAZ Studio (4.23.0.1)?
2. Does anyone have experience with using it in DAZ Studio and/or Blender?
3. My understaning is that it would let me manipulate a model and the view in DAZ Studio without having to click on the manipulator and I could my standard mouse for all kinds of clicky fun in DAZ Studio. They would work together. Is this an accurate expectation?

It seems Mr Googles helped me find out that my questions had been answered. It was foolish of me to use the DAZ Forum search.

Does anyone have an new or interesting information or advice concerning the Spacemouse?
I love using my SpaceMouse in C4D and Houdini, but find it basically unusable in DS even at the lowest speed setting.
I recieved my SpaceMouse Compact today and I have just tried it out in Blender and it is AMAZING. I will have lots of tweaking for sensitivity to do.
In DAZ Studio I found it overly sensitive and difficult to control even with all the speed settings set to minimum. I enabled the "dominant" feature which restircts motion to a single axis and now it works great in DAZ Studio.
I have attached a screenshot of my settings. Please give it a try and let me know if it works.
More fun with SpaceMouse and DAZ Studio. I just figured out where to enable a custom radial menu with 8 items. Most excellent. See attached image.
I love the SpaceMouse, the only gripe I have is that when using it to navigate - even in perspective view - it creates undo steps.
I have not had a chance to really play with it yet in DAZ Studio but I am looking forward to it. I have ordered a Kensington Expert Mouse Optical Trackball Wireless to test them as a duo.
Thank you for the heads-up.
I decided to buy a bunch of Udemy Blender courses at 83% off by Alex Cordebard and now I am absorbed in that. He is a very good instructor.
