Does anyone know if there is a way to use [Limb Stick] this with Aniblocks? I like using limb stick during and after making timeline animations but would like to be able to use it for orginal aniblocks while working back and forth between body parts and expressions. Thanks!

Yes. With things like LimbStick, dForce, and other tools that make calculations in the scene along the timeline, we must first Bake the animation to Studio's timeline.

    • In the aniMate 2 pane, right-click in an empty portion of the aniMate 2 window > Bake Animation to Studio's Timline > Accept

If you need to use aniMate 2 further for this animation, work out your LimbStick (etc.,) to get the animation how you like it. When you're done with LimbStick (etc.,), go back into the aniMate 2 pane. Right-click > Create New aniBlock from Studio's Keyframes

Ok, just as I suspected. It doesn't work withing Animate 2 just a matter of possible going back and forth. Was hoping it would work without having to do that. It's so trickey with movements where you need to move a characters hip and below in the heirarchy but keep the foot/feet planted, while animating in Daz. Thanks for the help.

Once in the timeline, if you want to move an animated character without messing up the animation, try selecting the character you want to move, then Create > New Group. Now we can move the group leaving everything inside as it was.

Using the technique I demonstrate in my Dynamic Character Animation course, I actually have hip positioning controls directly on my figures, so I can adjust them - even across the timeline, using simple dials on the figure! ;) Very handy tools! That's how I now position my animated characters onto the animated horses. Fricken Awesome!

Which video has you demonstrating the hip positioning controls?

It's in the Complete Guide to Animating Dynamic Characters course

I started trying to write it all out into articles with circles, arrows, etc., and it was really becoming a daunting task. All of a sudden I was approached by Digital Art Live to do a video course on the subject. That's how that was born.

You see a time lapse of some of it in the promo video below at around 1:15, but you really don't see fully what's going on. Also, no. I do Not use that Radio Announcer voice at all in the course! LOL
