@luci45 & @danaTA
thankyou both for the inspiration
The presents were opened, the ribbons untied,
And Ace Ventura was called to the side.
With an "Alrighty then!" and a quirky grin,
He set out to find who committed this sin.
He questioned the pets, from the dog to the cat,
Even the fantails, who cooed, "Who did that?"
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
But who could it be, who dared to dare?
Was it the Grinch with its curious paws,
Or the monkey with its playful jaws?
Maybe it was Santa, checking his list,
Or an elf who couldn't resist......
NAE
the curious christmal gift sits in the back and is looking
In the still of the night, as Christmas drew near
This unknown menace filled hearts with fear.
PlayStations plundered, Stanley cups stained
Taylor Swift memorabilia, terrorized and pained.
Who could it be, this holiday fiend
Wreaking havoc on all that gleamed?
With stealth and cunning, it moved through the night
Leaving behind a trail of fright.
Do the clues point to anyone, Ace just had to ask
Maybe a menace or alien or a sneaky creature that wears a mask!
it's Christmas Eve downunder
Merry Christmas Carrarians and Daztopians
Ace followed the clues, the crumpled paper trail,
Throughout the house, and even outside, he would not fail.
With his detective skills, sharp and keen,
He searched every corner where it might of been.
The inspector was innocent, the spy was too,
But Ace had a hunch, he knew what to do.
He checked the footprints, small with stride,
And found the culprit in a box outside.
It was Basil Brush, the naughty fox,
With a twinkle in his eye hiding in a box.
He couldn't wait for the festive cheer,
So he opened the presents, wearing a mask of fear!
With a "Boom! Boom!" and a cheeky grin,
He scattered the wrappers, causing quite a din.
But in the end, with laughter and glee,
The spirit of Christmas was plain to see.
We forgave Basil Brush, for he made the night bright.
The mystery was solved, all was alright.
Thanks to Ace, with his clever mind,
The mischievous spirit of Christmas was easy to find.
Or was it!
