How to relight textures without too much hassle?

I've used both Facegen and Headshop to create character morphs from photos and while both tools create decent morphs. the facial textures produced by them look absolutely dreadful (Headshop was unable to create a decent texture example even for the promo shot that loads while the software is starting). Is there a tool, possibly AI-powered, that does a decent job at relighting textures (or maybe the original photos)? To remove unwanted highlights, deep shadpws in the eye sockets and under the chin etc. Preferably free or one that at least allows free trials.

Tried a few generic AI tools last night, they were useless and unable to understand my instructions. I'd think changing the source/intensity of lighting in a picture should be a common task for various applications but couldn't find anything dedicated to that purpose
