I too would love to see some modern wheelchairs, particularly sporting/athletic and outdoor wheelchairs.

I have seen that thread, and it is useful, but I am also thinking of something along these lines:

Farm Gear has a trailer, and from the promo pics it looks like you should be able to use just the base with 4 wheels, which could probably be easily refitted to a number of modern items to make wheeled items.  put it under a piece of equipment or tank or crate to make a rolling item, or a little platform to make a mechanic's creeper, or a toy to make a rolling toy, or a tub to make a wagon, or a stack of missiles to make an ordinance cart, etc.

I actually found a good number of usable free wheelchairs at the SketchUp 3DWarehouse. Export them from SketchUp as an OBJ and import them into Daz and they work just fine!
