Iray Ice Cube
Since some folks asked, here is the Iray Ice Cube that I used for an image I did some time ago (the mammoth trapped in the ice cube itself).

The scene it's all set up, with all the needed shaders and geometry. As from nvidia papers, in order to simulate ice properly you actually need to have a surface with some thickness, so a simple flat plane won't work; as you see I used two cubes, one scaled down, to achieve that.
In the original image I scattered around some more bubbles, and used a darker environment and also an HDRI map to get more reflection/refraction diversity.
Cheers
PS: Dumb me: I packed the scene with hard-coded paths so on most systems it may not find the geometry. My bad. So I just created a DAZ Studio compliant product file, and re-uploaded the zip file:

Just unzip where you like: then open DAZ Studio, Content Library, 'add a base library', browse and choose the iceCube folder and then you get the product added to the library.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for sharing this ice cube!!!
It is going to be great in my next render :D
Yes there is, see here: http://blog.irayrender.com/post/17763515875/refraction-and-ior-stacks
Allesandro, how do I install these files? (The zip file doesn't have a folder structure, just four files.)
I get a message saying that files are missing with these paths:
volumes/depot/shared/icecube/bubblesphere.obj
volumes/depot/shared/icecube/icecube1.obj
volumes/depot/shared/icecube/icecube2.obj
Alessandro, I had seen this image before and thought it was brilliant! Thank you.

Thanks for the update Alessandro.
You're welcome :)
