I suspect it is something the forum does as I bet the original cbr fine is fine

    try this mp3 renamed txt

is just me playing a guitar VSTi on my midi usb keyboard

This worked just fine, as expected.

By the way, what midi usb keyboard do you use?

I am asking because I am interested in purchasing one or two of them as I am getting very tired of drawing everything in my DAW.

I think for most of what I do and want to do I am better off with a synth action keyboard, but I have been thinking of getting a weighted action one as well.

it is called a masterkey 25

I have a full Yamaha 88 key piano with midi too but rarely plug it in as need to rearrange my room, will one day ......

I just play VSTi plugins using savihost mostly and record them to file in it or using windows WASAPI in Audacity

I picked up a second hand Roland Gaia recently, very "hands on" synth, only 3 octave keyboard but capable of some great sounds. It also passes audio as well as midi via usb so very easy to record.

Yes I have a Gaia too but do not use usb with it just audio jack think sounds better, I must put LMMS on my laptop which has Linux Centros on it at the moment, that may change, is bound for bin anyway, worn out, can use it as a digital instrument in the meantime enabling overdubbing of live stuff to PC.

not sure if Windows VSTi dll work on Linux though, that is very unlikely but LMMS does have a Linux build.
