Does anyone know how to get this graphic novel effect?

This is from a t.v show called Dark Orcale which main theme is a comic. I really like the shading they use and wonder if its possible to do the same in daz studio.

I'm still new to daz so forgive me if this was already covered or impossible to do.,

The pictures are small, but these look hand-drawn. The process the artist took to achieve the output could vary; some hand-sketch, scan, and then ink and color inside a painting program. Others do it completely in a painting program, and a few continue to do it all using traditional art techniques. Their art boards are then scanned in.

The type of rendering, if rendered, is called NPR (Non-photorealistic rendering)...

This thread is a 'show off' thread but does have hints and suggestions.

The Daz Studio 3Delight renderer has a cartoon render style built in,  how well it works depends on lighting and the surface materials on the models.

If you visit Envato (Graphics River) and look at the photoshop plugins, there's a wide variety there. I covered a lot of effects in my Thread 6 (here in Art Studio) to showcase some of them. You can get Photoshop for a 30 day trial period I think and try it out.

This sort of thing can be done with Photoshop or similar filter programs. There are many powerful addons to do artistic renders. I would start with filter forge. There are thousands of filters for art rendering as well as a powerful system for building effects. Two standalone tools that have top ratings are Dynamic Auto Painter and Photo Reactor. Digital Anarchy has a Toon It! PS plugin, but I can't speak to it. Here are some examples of how the filters work.

Here is my original photorealistic render that I entered into the April New User Contest:

Here is Filter Forge - Sketch My Pic Up:

Here is Topaz Adjust - HDR Sketch:
