I understand it used to be all the rage to do a "superspy Aiko" render. It took me this long to do one...

Aiko is wearing Le Hair (by KBOC, English Bob and Heidi), Aiko Cloth Set1 (by Ftepen), and the pants from Jordan for Aiko 3 (by 3D Universe). Her pose is from The Action Pose Project (by Black Spartan) although I modified her hand pose somewhat, and she's skulking about the Brick Building Set (by Mapps). I forget where I got her Walther. (It's an OBJ file, not a Poser prop; the file is called "Valther.obj".)

Why did someone say A3 could not take V3 textures? I have used V3 textures on her many times. Of course there is one catch, once you load the V3 texture, you have to go into surfaces to add thighs, shin knee and shin manually, cause for some reason they will not load with the rest of the texture. Once you do that, you have the V3 texture on her and can continue with you build.

The reason the textures won't load on those surfaces is because the material zones are named differently than on the non-anime Gen 3 figures, and mat files are very literal. I finally got tired of applying them manually (especially since I cobbled together SSS versions of all my Gen 3 mat files), and wrote a couple of scripts to do the transferring.

Thanks for the link to the leg mat fix, that will be a time saver.

I never really liked many of the free textures for Aiko and couldn't really afford to buy any characters till recently now that I am using Genesis, so always used V3 textures, as some were quite nice.

This is my first finished render with A3 with Mila. I've always enjoyed the renders that have been done with A3, just never used her. I'm really impressed with how well she rendered in Octane. The quality and detail of the Mech outfit is quite impressive as well.

Aiko can do fantasy, Aiko can do Scifi - what happens when the two collide? LOL

Also from the recent A3 contest.

    Aiko 3
Mecha Girl outfit (sans boots for, well, obvious reasons)
Mitsu Hair (with a custom magnet to make the “crown” fuller)
    Stinger spacecraft

    Additional elements include…

Kioki morphs by Beth Capsces (to get the feline face)
Cattitude textures by Daio (based upon the fur pattern of her favorite cat, Mimi)
Kasa II by Anchronicity (unreleased followup to the earlier item to depict digitigrade paw-like feet)
VersaTail by Anchronicity (a tail figure with several genus motifs)
SA Solo gun (prop from the “retired” Sanctum Arts product for V2)
Twister sky prop by AntFarm (love the dramatically stormy appearance)
Retro Dress add-on pack by Oshikai (for the digitigrade leggings)
    0009 Uniform (for the jacket)

    Sincerely,

    Bill

Kerya and Redfern are being modest - their renders took First and Third Place, respectively, in the contest.

This was my better entry in the Spinning Aiko contest. Mulberry thinks she has the drop on the Lizardian, but...

    "Don't look now"

Mulberry A3 wearing Marie Elite V4’s skin (via TC2), the 0009 costume, and Wild Dreads

Raw Arts’ Lizardian M4 wearing the Dynamic Ancient Loincloth

    Sixus’ Nyhlloghast

    Generic Sci Fi Corridor

DS3 render, postwork limited to layering 2 renders and the signature

Ghost in the Shell: The Aiko Rebellion
This is the Emergency Podcast System. There has been an immediate recall of all series 3 Aikobots. These units are taking up arms against their owners as well as the citizenship at large. It is unclear whether their actions are the result of a terrorist attack, hacker prank or manufacturer's flaw but further updates may follow as information is verified.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: If you own an activated Aiko 3, DO NOT RETURN TO YOUR HOME. Instead contact your local authority. You will be informed where to go and notified when you may safely return to your home. Do not engage Aiko 3 if you should see one. They are considered highly dangerous. Sector 9 has been called in to decomission and confiscate the models. You may contact Dazcorp with your payment and contract information to see if you're eligible for free replacement with one of the newer safe Aikos.

Major Motoko Kusanagi, tachikoma and Sector 9 are part of Ghost in the Shell by Masamune Shirow

We've got the links in the A3 freebies thread, but I haven't added them to the list on page 1 of that thread yet. They're close to the end of the thread (as I post this).

Is there anime style eyelashes for Aiko3 anywhere, commercial or freebie? (like a more solid lash with a pointy corner, or corners, or 2-3 lashes on the end, etc)
