Wow!
That really does add depth and atmosphere to the image.
Looks fantastic.
That looks fantastic! Love seeing you in the forums! I'm a big fan of your brushes, although, I admit I'm still learning how to use them. When I do postwork, though, they definitely make my artwork better.
Hang in there learn something new everyday and tomorrow learn something new.
you made my day thank you so much
don't know if you can tell me or not but I use Paintshop Pro X7 will any of your products work in that? Eyed off a lot of your stuff often your old stuff like horror and water bundles and your new war essentials which look great but was unsure how many and if any of them I could use I wrote to Corel with a list of the files you use and they said none of them even though in the sales pitch PSP X7 it says you could use some photoshop stuff just not what you could use
Not had any issues so far; I own a couple of the sets.
I can't express how much better my art has become, due to Deviney's brushes. Always worth checking out. :)
You often find unexpected uses for them, just by changing the colour or other settings and experimenting with them on different environments.
My absolute favorite brushes of all time. Am working on owning all of them....
I found the brushes worked a little less... easily in GIMP than in Photoshop, and some stuff didn't seem to work right at all.
Probably still worth it, but the brushes and a few other things helped finally push me into getting Photoshop (which I haven't regretted)
Deviney brushes do work well in GIMP but I do recommend highly that you install something like GURM to organise the brushes due to the very large file sizes or you will be waiting forever for GIMP to open. I think it even crashed a few times before I installed GURM.
For those that may not know what GURM is, it's the Gimp Unified Resource Manager. I had to look it up, though I was pretty sure I knew what it stood for.
I love your brushes and have several of them, my postwork skills are still needing improvement but your brushes definitely help.
@ANGELREAPER1972 the brushes do work in PSP X6 so should in X7, there is an excellent youtube video on how to add them but I am not on my own computer so don't have the link so I can add it later when I get home if you like
I wish there were some tutorials to teach me to use them better.
I found a couple really good youtube videos to use brushes in photoshop , altho I am not on my own computer at the moment so I can't post a link until later for you
Thanks, I'd appreciate that. I know basically how to use brushes, but I never get the promo-like effects. I Ron must use some magic with layers and styles and that kind of thing. I'd like to know what techniques like that give results like the promo images for the brushes.
This is one that I found gave some great techniques, the second link is pretty good too altho shorter video

Here is also a link to a video that explains how to use photoshop brushes in PSP X6

Hope these can help someone :)
I have all the brushes except one or two (didn't need two bloody sets) and they're really fun. The dry ice will be another welcome addition!
By the by, I highly recommend using some sort of distance/depth render to create useful masks for brush effects.
With Iray, you can do that easily with canvasses, but the output is 32 bit, so you'll need Photoshop or something similarly robust.
With 3DL, the AoA cameras includes a depth camera.
That way you can easily place, say, smoke behind one figure and in front of another figure or whatever without having to do a bunch of masking renders.
(That said, sometimes you ARE better off with masking renders)
thank you so much for this
Thanks for the Gimp info. Gurm... got it.
That looks great. I already have a lot of your brushes and I use them extensively for my postwork.
I'm working with Affinity Photo on a Mac and they work perfectly. I also tried them on Pixelmator without problems.
+1
I am glad they can be of some help to you, I thought the techniques the videos showed were very helpful for me :)
That first one was very good, Kharma, Thanks for posting it.
You can even use Ron's brushes to ... texture clothes. *grin* It's maybe not the intended use - but so what?
