I have searched but cant seem to find anything, I have a couple of questions:

1) how do you make items in daz such as flames and clothing. I want to make my own items but not sure how.

2) can you "paint" or "color" in daz?

    For 'making' things you need a modelling program. Hexagon is free from this site.

    No you can't really paint in DS, you can chage the colour of things via the surfaces tab.
