instructions and script for DS1, DS2, DS3, DS4 ( and with luck DS5 )

https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts7/mcjpropagate

example 1 - you select a series of similar or identical objects, only the first one was animated by you, with this script you can have the second object or figure do the same thing with a 5 frames delay, or 5 frames before the first one - in the image below the segments of each arm all repeat the same XRotate animation with a short delay

Example 2 Whole figure pose-animations duplicated with a 1/6 cycle delay

Example 3 - you can also select a series of objects and have the surface/material property animations propagate from one object to the other

here 1 button had its ambient strength animated, then the script propagated it to the 3 others

Example 4 - within the same object, if you select a series of surfaces, you can have property animations propagate across the chain of surfaces

This example also shows the propagation of morph strengths for the springs

This is brilliant! Thanks a bunch!

    Bob

Edit:  I don't see it on your blog.  Do you have a link?  Thanks again.

in the next 10 minutes and very secretly, for the benefit of the courageous who cant wait

i'll post the Beta, which you should destroy tomorrow and replace with the final version

    The Second Beta is online

contrary to the first beta it can propagate in one shot more than one Morph/DForm/Propertiy/Material Property

as of now i only support floating-point properties, but if it's not ~dangerous~ i'll add the other types

looks like a wave-controller to me

did you try this with dforms on a plane to simulate water waves ?

when you use the "Modifiers From List Below" option, the list includes the Morphs and the DForms

long ago i experimented with d-forms as a way to create waves

there's also ways to do waves using bump normal or displacement maps and , say, my TexAnim script

    also animating UV Tiling offsets

    and someday my plugin

i've been wanted to make a twin-shifting-waveform shader for a long time

i think carrara or Vue or Bryce has something like that

one can also do things like that using simple tricks

16 32x32 divisions 32ftx32ft primitive planes ( 1 plane + 15 instances ) with iRay clear glass shader, with a "tilable perlin noise" image as the displacement map

the perlin image came from http://asserttrue.blogspot.ca/2011/12/perlin-noise-in-javascript_31.html

The MULTI surface/ material animation alone is SO awesome already. To sync/ propagate morph + shift/rotate + mat change, is just SUPER COOL!!!! yesyes APPLAUSE!!! laugh
