The terrains are built in the same manner, with seperate material zones for main-ground and path. So you could easily take the textures from one set and apply them to the other. Switching the skyboxes would obviously be easy too. Switching textures for the grass meshes (if needed) shouldn`t be too much hassle either.
The "specials", like trees, fences or the stone wall on Autumn could be challenging. If it was me doing the task I`d go to Photoshop to paint snow onto the Autumn textures.
I remember there is some kind of snow-shader in the shop (by Stonemason?) which might work for it too.
(By the way, it would be great to have a more "soft hill" Skybox as an add on for some of the sets, as alternate setting to the majestic mountain landscape.)

Soft hills with forests - I vote for that!
I must admit the Autumn set, as I looked at some of the promos, did have me wondering about asking for Bill Owen and Peter Sallis in the Celebrity thread.
Richard, I don`t know the guys but I guess you are refering to the english/irish/scottish look of the set?
I love those landscapes, rushed through scottland decades ago on vacation.
It was certainly the idea for this set, I just like to keep the set names more generalized since there are other regions with a similar look.
>Soft hills with forests - I vote for that!<<br />
I`d like that too, I hope I`ll get there sometimes.
Right now I struggle doing it, both with building it and rendertimes.
(The fast skyboxes render for a day here, more tricky ones can lock my system for two or three days. Adding trees wouldn`t exactly speed it up ...)

Characters from a long running (30 years plus) BBC sitcom, now no longer on as a most of the main cast have died (of old age & related causes) called 'Last of the Summer Wine, set in Yorkshire (in and around the village/town of Holmfirth which is real and is now quite a tourist spot due to the series), link here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/lastofthesummerwine/
Thx for the info Kinich, we don`t get to see much BBC shows here, so tbh. I`ve really never even heard of it.
Thx polka dot, glad you like the set! Like I said above, forests are still a bit of an issue, but once I get it under control I`ll start doing such sets.
Another set! I love it. It's a little dark for me but I think I messed up something on my machine. Sigh. Anyway, here's Aiko 5 and friend taking a last look back....
Flipmode -- the Autumn set is a wonderful combination of endless vistas and dramatic lighting. The cloud cover with gaps reminds me of the changeable fall weather we have here in Vermont -- beautiful, yet also melancholy. I would definitely be interested in some soft hills with forests as well.
Great image Spit, thanks for posting it. The added leaves are sweet and I like how you did the frame.
I just noticed your shadows ignore transparency. Just mentioning it in case you missed it, imo it does no harm to the image at all.
The image brightness looks fine on my screen, but if you were refering to the preset lighting...it`s possible it`s a bit dark, bad habbit of mine. ;)
ModernWizard, glad you like the set!
Wah, no more forest requests! ;) Just kidding, like I said above it`s more a technical matter, but I hope I can do it sometimes.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm aware of the shadow thing--I used AoA lights on this and have all set to Primitive Hit mode. Will fix it when I do the larger render.
Oh, re 'requests, I'd like something simpler. Rolling green hills in the skybox-misty. The landscape itself can be soft and rollling as well, perhaps with a bit more texture. I can add my own trees.

I was unsure as to whether I should post this one or not, because so little of the EE I used can actually be seen. In the end, I decided to share it because I want to point out what I love so much or the EE's and why, if doing an outdoor scene, I reach for them first.
I've mentioned before that the skybox gives me so many more options that a dome, with it's flat maps, easily editable in Photoshop, and the massive size. I don't have to scale elements down just to keep them from busting through a dome. Tall building and trees are never an issue. And although it doesn't apply in this scene, I have used the boxes without and ground prop, and it still looks great (Kraken Station). Almost any setting will fit in a skybox.
But why I decided to post this project today, is to emphasize the light sets that come with the EE line.
I love them! I work in DS4.6, and am continually frustrated with lights that don't give me what I want. But the lights that come with the EEs are so easy to work with, and don't drag down render time, I have all but deleted all of my other light sets.
Sometimes, they are a little dark, but I think it's because I am working in Daz and not Poser. But that's a simple fix. I just increase the intensity of the 'sun' light. By keepin the number of lights to a minimum, I honestly believe they provide a more believable look.
Now that I have gushed over the lights that make me look like I know what I am doing (y'all here in the forums know better .. lol), I'll add my latest EE scene.
If you don't see it, it was the best sky for my needs as well as had a big honking' rock that accented my backdrop (left side, behind the trees, and poking into the ground, in the grass, although once I added the soldier, can't be seen) . I did turn up the sun intensity, but other than that, the lights coming with that set are out of the box. Other than giving it a little glow and a flare in Photoshop, MTs lights are why my scene make the author very happy :D, which makes me happy. Happy authors hire me for future books.
Thanks for making me look like a pro, once again, FM :D
Aidana...I am ten days late (forum once again stopped to send me notifications), but thanks for the post!
Never gets old for me to read your happy comments. ;)
Never had any feedback on the lighting before, so I am glad it works well for you.
The DS lighting has nothing to do with Poser though. If it sometimes seems a bit on the dark side it has other reasons.
One being that I try to find an intensity that "ties" the geometry to the skybox, so if you change a lot of the scene the preset may not be optimal anymore.
The other reason ... well, I just have a bad habbit to do it that way, maybe it`s my rubbish screen ;)

Lol. I'm sure it's not you. I don't know where I read that daz treats light set made for poser differently, but that was a long time ago, and may not be the case for DS4+, anyway.
I also know, I am a contrast artist. I like colors that pop, even subdued tones, so I tend to like more light/shadow intensity.
Plus, as you point out, I tend to take your worlds and add things to them to make them unique, sometimes even altering colors, so it makes sense that the lighting needs tweaked for my scenes.
But remember, I LOVE YOUR LIGHTS. The go perfectly, except for intensity, with the packages, and seem to do it with many fewer lights than I see in other light sets, making render times much faster, with a professional result.
I HATE working with lights. But with your sets, I never need to fear an awesome result.

That`s correct, loading Poser lights into Daz Studio ...well, they show up, but it`s basicly useless.
But the EE lighting you load is native Daz Studio lighting, it`s just wearing a Poser disguise. ;)
It`s more or less the same trick like with geometry, the files are in the Poser directory because it`s a "combined" product, but when you load it you get the Studio version.

Hopefully this little revelation will convince more people to buy your EE environments :D
What a lovely render, Dani! The blowing leaves echo the clouds for a sense of movement. I like the variety of pumpkins too. What did you use for the leaves in the air?

do you know when the "autumn" set will be at the shop? I guess you have an idea ;)
Yes, it went horribly slow this time, but it`s supposed to release in two days, Aug 12th. :)
ahhh okay :) will buy it at the end of the month :)
How easy would it be to create scenes with the Autumn and Winter EE's that give the impression of the same place in different seasons?
Pfew, how to answer that? ;)

Sorry, totally off-topic, but damn, the toads in my garden are stupid.

(note: while immune to my rescue attempts it eventually made it through and will presumeably live a happy life under the door mat now ....)
Oh my!
What did it think?
LOL
Thanks for telling us it survived!
would be easy lunch for a stork

Yes it`s out, I am a bit late to my own release ;)

'Autumn' is a wonderful set! I love the dramatic lights, and the mountains remind me of the style of the old masters.
For the next skybox I second lee_lhs' idea - soft hills & forests.
