    Looks really good. A 2mm fit is not exactly skin tight, but close enough for me :)

    extreme side-side test
    the skirt is a bit too distant from the thighs, so i may fix this

    The drape works very well, and covers her modesty. This is really great.

    there will be an "inflate" morph which can be use to tighten the dress
    so, maybe with subdivisions you could go down to 1mm

    in the image below, it's approx. (exactly?) 2mm

    Wow, that looks really good, no need for displacement if bump works that well. Great job.

    a pose that shows the dress nicely
    i worked a few minutes to have her look very precisely at the camera
    but i moved the camera (because it was behind the mirror)
    and it ended with Aiko-in-the-mirror being the one who looks straight at the camera

    2nd image has a better stare -

    but it's not 100% there yet.

    I thought having the face almost facing the camera and having the eye's axis point at the camera was enough.

    I now suspect there's more to it and will have to search painting/photography courses.

    It took 107 minutes to render this 9999 samples in blender cycles GPU
    Glossy materials and small light sources produce artifacts named 'fireflies', which require long render times to get rid of

    please click on the pic to watch the higher quality version

    the 62 morphs were added to the dress figure using DS 4.5's Morph Loader pro

    i still have to rebuild the special bend morphs for the legs and the collarbones

    since i don't want to work too hard on this,

    here's are the collar-bend morphs

    some clothes on the market have the corresponding side of the garment that lifts up

    note that for more common arm movements you can freeze the collar bones and avoid this issue

    ===

    in other news, the final name for the dress will probably be mcjA3BodyCon

    ===

    the second picture shows that the UV map is cylindrical
    the .obj file is built in a manner that will make it easy to create alternate UV maps

    maybe i changed my mind, maybe i'll make this type of collar-bend-morph

    but there's may be consequences,
    for instance, the ''cleavage'' morph need a companion adjustment morph,
    to be used when the collar bones are bent upwards (as shown in the image)

    so you'll get a tight fit, even when the arms are raised high up, but at the cost of adjusting a specialized morph.

    still some issues to fix
    it takes time but in the end its worth it, for the upcoming dresses too

    the walk animation was an FBX from http://www.audiomotion.com/Downloads (non-commercial uses)
    i converted it to BVH using Animeeple (they closed shop) and the SecondLife avatar for Poser

    this well-behaved CollarBend morph is a bit odd to build

    i re-build the dress around the posed figure with her arm way up

    when i place the dress (with no collarbend morph on the dress), the dress around the breast is pulled up and suffers poke-trough

    then using the script below, i create a morph to pull the dress down and away

    anyway, it works :) so we're closer to the release but there's still some miles left to the journey

    // DAZ Studio version 4.5.1.6 filetype DAZ Script
    var cbnode = Scene.findNodeByLabel( "jJCMrCollarBend" );
    var cbmesh = cbnode.getObject(0).getCachedGeom();
    var drnode = Scene.findNodeByLabel( "mcjA3BodyconD" );
    var drobj = drnode.getObject(0);
    var drmesh = drobj.getCachedGeom();
    var n = cbmesh.getNumVertices();
    var morphDeltas = new DzMorphDeltas();
    for( i = 0; i < n; i++ )
    {
     cbpos = cbmesh.getVertex( i );
     drpos = drmesh.getVertex( i );
     d = cbpos.subtract( drpos );
     morphDeltas.addDelta( i, d.x, d.y, d.z  );
    }
    var modifier = new DzMorph( morphDeltas );
    modifier.setLabel( "jJCMrCollarBendd" );
    modifier.setName( "jJCMrCollarBendd" );
    drobj.addModifier( modifier );

    worked on it a bit today, the issue is, the collar-Bend morph keeps the dress very tight when the collar joint is at it's maximum of 50 degrees, which is great, but when the arm is midway down ( 25 degrees ) there's poke-through, so i ... well there's many ways to cope with that and that's what i'm checking

    sorry for the waiting
    here i solved the issue where the left and right collar-bend morphs were "cross-talking"

    just to confirm that some work is being done on the dress
    but due to various xmas reasons it's will take more time than expected ... when was it? ... december 12th :)

    here you can see that when 1 or 2 arms are 100% up, the dress has no poke-trough

    before this last tweak, when 1 arm was up, the other side of the dress had some (very little) poke-trough

    Bit slow coming to this thread, but glad to see it. Your work is very, very competent and I always look forward to something new for Aiko3, who is still my all-time favorite DAZ character of any generation. Thanks for all your hard work.

    today's turtle step, the CollarBend morph works for the 0° to 50° collar Up-Down range

    the tightness of the dress at 50° is less perfect but i got rid of the poke-through for other settings

    ( then DS 4.5 crashed ... still suspecting it's due to the windows7 magnifier, but i didnt lose my new script/tools )

    Well done, a super effort.

    giving it another go

    here's the reason of the delays

    when Aiko lifts her arms up, i don't want the dress to follow slavishly as if it was glued-on and elastic

    plus, i don't want the dress to become loosened as the collar angle goes from 0 to 50 degrees

    so i'll use, 1 collar-bend-morph plus 3 fit-morphs for angles 12.5° 25° and 37.5°

    and ( finish learning ) use multi-stepped ERCs, or JCMs
