thx TangoAlpha, cool and complex products in your store, very eclectic
in this wip I've been tweaking shaders and diffuse light, no IBL and only a bit of desaturation in post
49 mins with 40 cores in a network
That looks great!
thanks Phil, the pale sun is still too intense but it's needed to sharpen and highlight foliage at a distance almost as an human eye; this is one of the limits of bias whereas unbiased engines shine
wanna try with a bulb and a bit of range falloff
I've been have a lot of fun with 100% range falloff, and then adjusting the range to taste.
working on some oak trees.
you can make trees with roots in carrara by:
1. make a plant.
2. copy paste it.
3. Z flip the copy.
4. remove leaves from copy.
5. trunk length 0 in copy.
final result, by optimizing lighting and settings this took "only" 28 mins but it's a 5K frame
no postwork
Yes! And building a tree from scratch to be used as roots can be fun too!
Nice work magaremoto!!! Very nice!
You too Shlomi Laszlo!
thats a good root Dart
Thanks!
yes it is a good root - watch out for wombats tho
wow you can keep those - we have an expression in Oz. Wombats eat, roots and leaves.... That was what Wendy was referencing. ;) But seriously those roots look great
ha ha, methinks thou dost protest too loud
LOL
just wanted to share this use for Philemeno's hair plug in from the other thread - you can make grass with hair on a terrain then convert it and use it as the base for a surface replicator (cant use hair for that apparently?????)
I replicated the leaves and flowers
on two lots of converted hair of different lengths
iit's a 2400 pixel image
good idea.... can never have enough grass
I just bought the entire series to watch again and again. Over and Over Again
Be careful, you know what happend to Hogan in real life....
ha ha, yes it was a good discovery for me at least :)
Just trying to shed the winter blues. Carrara terrain with plants/stones, etc from Dart, Howie Farkes, RDNA and others.
Diomede - that looks lovely!
Thanks, Phil. Plan to use it as a generic background for outdoor scenes, as per your snowy fantasy scene in the first tutorial series.
Maybe Vicky in a meadow with a rifle, VIAMWAR.
And here is a quick
Vicky 7 in a meadow with a shotgun, VIAMWAS
Some slight adjustments
I was thinking the first version was a little dark, but you have nailed it with this latest version!
did these a couple of weeks ago then forget them with the having the Grandkids over the holidays lol
Wonderful ants! I especially like the hair on the limbs in the second. Canceling my picnic plans now.
thanks @diomede
the ants are from Ken Gilliland over at Hivewire ...
the spider is from here at Daz
