A quick one this. It started when someone asked about making a rear view mirror mirrored. I used the Iray Polished Aluminium from the Iray Shaders. This is Family Car 1950 with the top down, Lorenzo Lorez driving with Newport Shirt and a cap from Mean Streets. Climbing on the back is Lucille Zombie with Bucca Dress covered in gore from Gore-Dom. Lighting and background is from an HDRI.

How often do you look in your rearview mirror? surprise

As of now?  Apparently all the time, lol.  I love how you tell a story with all of your renders.  Really great work.  I particularly like the war/appocalypse renders - they have a very real feel to them.

I revisited the rear-view mirror one and replaced Lorenzo with Michael 4. In close-up Lorenzo didn't have nice ears.

Apparently I wouldn't want to!   This is really a neat concept. Well done!

Mike looks kinda baldish in the back there, touch of poke through I'm sure.  Love the mirror view however!

Creepy stuff going on in the back seat there- nice work!

As it is Riccardo Hair I thought it appropriate to leave it in :)

The ear is a great improvement.  The bald spots could be because he previously had a fight and the hair was torn from his head, although he doesn't look at all worried while driving down the lane, lol.  The image in the mirror is much clearer (due to close up), so this version is scarier.  The only thing that might be changed is the speedometer.

I left it at 10, MPH as I am in the UK, because there was no way she could catch the car and jump on the back if it was going any faster.

Good point!  I saw it as a "0" because the "1" is hidden.  Course if I'd been more careful I'd have realized it is on the 10.

Started with the Lumberjack House added a Yosemite HDRI to the Environment Map. The defender is Genesis 2 Male with a bit of Tyrion Morph by Deviant Vertex and some face morphs added. Stag Beetle with Monique 6 Kendra and Undead Fiend.

This started off as a test on graininess and whether it was because of lighting rather than settings, and it grew :)

The model is FR Lija for Genesis 3 by Freja, Force Hair and Mec4d summer dress for g3f. The lighting in the first is a free HDRI I got from DAZ Creative by Dumor3D. In the next ones I swapped it out for one from the Yosemite bundles, I also turned DOF on for these two.

After rendering them I found that the Iray Uber Base hadn't loaded all the maps which I found in the texture folder. There was bump, displacement and specular so I added them manually.

I do love GypsyAngels characters.  Nice job on those!

Those veins are really visible on Jericho.  I don't think I've seen any renders that do as good a job of showing what is under the surface of the skin.  Really good.

I picked up Creech. Here he is with some splashes as he rises from the water. Lighting and background is an HDRI.

Love all the tiger images and good job getting the tiger head through those bars.  Creech w/ spashes came out good too.  I don't see too many spashes that look realistic right out of Daz, but yours came out great.  Nice photoshop post work on that very last render.

Love the point of view on the tiger ones especially the last two.

Of course, I am very fond of Creech and these turned out very cool, the splashes look great.  Not sure I want to see Creech dancing lol.

The last couple through photoshop are beautiful.  I postwork some of mine and have a list of them that still need to be done.  Just another tool to make your art look the way you want it to look.

    @Ice Dragon Art

I don't usually do any post on my renders but I always do it to the photographs from my camera, go figure :)

I didn't download the latest Studio but I did get the Beta to try out. I rendered one of my last Creech renders again in it. There is a slight difference in the final image. If you open them both in separate tabs and flick between them you will see that the shadow on the bottom right is lighter and has more light bleed into it. The Beta render also took longer.

This is the original https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/2520121/#Comment_2520121 which took 8 hrs. And this is the new one from the Beta.

I thought I would try Genesis 8 so I set her up with the same clothes as Genesis 3 and rendered them together.

Genesis 3 on left, Genesis 8 on right old Studio 4.9.3.166 Pro (64 bit)

While that was rendering I opened the new Studio Beta and tried Genesis 8 in that.

When that had rendered I loaded the G3/G8 scene into the Beta to see if there was any difference.

Finaly I didn't like the skin colour of G8 so I lowered the Translucency from 0.5 to 0.2 which helped.
