This (previous) image is an interesting study in how images effect us. If we see it in smaller perspective, it evokes one thing, in full screen another. The larger image creates a tension as the eyes are apart enough to not let our eyes settle on them but rather be tugged back and forth. This of course depends on the monitor size the images are viewed at also.
It makes me wonder what the cat is thinking. I like that it draws the viewer in and gets us involved. Ears and eyes- the mirrors of the soul of a cat. (Well, the tail lets us know in a hurry too....) Is this your cat? Cute!
Thanks, it's my moms. Mine was a beautiful long haired black that died. Unfortunately I only learned photography after she died.

Your photographs are amazing.
Thank you for the nice compliment :)
These are wonderful photos, Gedd. Impressive lighting and composition and what everyone else has said. I love it when an instrument of any kind (camera, violin, chisel, whatever) becomes an extension of the person him/herself.
Thank you Spit, I have a way to go though before I can spin dials in manual mode without thinking about it some :)

This reminds me of when we see turtles basking in the sun on top of alligators- this seems much safer! Fun shot.
Where are you?
There is a hollowness where you once fit...
What will fill the void?
This started out as a photo.
I woke up to my cat staring at me... (best viewed full screen.)
We had a water main break... temperature, 0° F
Which turned the road into a river... then an ice rink.
and the work went on into the night...
