    Well, crap.
I will feel bad if I don't go ahead and reveal where she is- because if you really like it you can get a good deal on the set right now. Yes, perfect timing, it's in the promotions. Hasn't happened in awhile I don't think, that's why I will go ahead and provide the answer.

    http://www.daz3d.com/forbiddenwhispers-and-jsgraphics-sale/
Set it to 60 per page.
Go to row 17. The answer WILL be obvious!

I am revealing this because many of you will probably be buying SISTERS. You'll get 40% off my mystery set today.
And my mystery set is a wonderful set! Normally $22.95, On sale for $16.07, but you can get it for $9.64 because the cart will take off an additional $6.43 if you buy Sisters. There's some nice vase props that comes with the set, be sure and look at those too.

Hope you enjoyed the challenge! I'll post how I created the mini pool sometime tomorrow. Ariadne can now get out of the water, lol.

Welcome to Tangien Courtyard- The Mystery Set!
    http://www.daz3d.com/tangien-courtyard

Might as well post how I created the water element before I get some sleep (it's 5am)

    Create>New Primitive>Cylinder

Then open Surfaces tab, and using the Surface Selection Tool (three pieces of black paper by the Universal Tool) select the cylinder.

In Diffuse, click on the square where you can add a photo, and select your water image.

Place your person in the area first, then move your cylinder over and lower it down so your person is sitting in the cylinder water. Then change the opacity over in Surfaces so the water is semi-transparent. The reason it's better to wait is because when the cylinder is solid, it's easier to see how to place it. I made it transparent in the image below just so you can see the concept, but when I put it in the little alcove (or whatever it's called) it was still full opacity and solid.

You don't have to worry about the cylinder fitting perfectly because the front part of it won't be seen- be sure the back and sides are good though.

There are other parts of this set- check out all the Tangiens-
    http://www.daz3d.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=tangien&x=-1109&y=-43

Below, I've included more in the image of Ariadne (the front rim) so you can actually get a better feel of her "container." NOTE HOW SHALLOW IT IS!!!! You don't need deep areas to create this illusion.

Hope you enjoyed this concept- go create some jacuzzis in shallow places!
And remember, this is also a WONDERFUL place to use as a background for portraits, particularly with depth of field.

    Sisters For Genesis Two
    Growing Up.

    EHSS MAT>Default>Full MAT Hair

Well, I'm about a hundred dollars poorer, and we are going to REALLY be busy on this thread so fasten your seat belts. Jumping in with Sisters For Genesis Two and Growing Up.

    Follow along!
I don't know if I am doing this right, but here's what I'm doing. I loaded the Genesis 2 figure (I cheat and use Content Library, use Products, and just look up Genesis 2 Base Female.)

Next go here: DAZ Studio Format>My Library>People>Genesis 2 Female>Characters>ForbiddenWhispers>The Sisters
Then I'm lost, of course. I still know zilch about all those options. Let's just do 'em. EHSS MATS- (sure!)
So here is EHSS MAT>Default>Full MAT Hair

And the render with .50 shading rate.
EDIT: LIPS DEFAULT did nothing when I clicked on them and they look plumper over in the content library.

Here's a sample of the eyes and you can see SOME of your choices from the screenshot. Then here's what pops up under Makeup.

    EHSS MAT>Default>Makeup

The lips go on darker than what they look. I'm fiddling with 04 and 05 as the most "natural" but even then they are very vibrant. (Keep in mind this is out of the box.)

The makeup is organized by "with hair" and bald, and we have hair so using that option.

Oh wow, some fun, funky makeup. I'll be adding photos here. The first one is MK Hair 02 and the second one is 03

Then 08 lips and 08 hair. VERY dark- going Gothic.

    02 Default Mats>Default>Face Default Hair
You get the same color options, here's a sample. I used MK 05 Hair for the eyeshadow.

    Advanced SSS Mats
I used Lips 05 and MK 05 Hair for the eyeshadow again.
What a difference these SSS Mats make! I just wish the cheeks weren't quite so noticeable with that blush. :( I like it more subtle, but that's just me.

Headed into the fun part- the morphs! (You're experiencing it as I am, I haven't clicked on it yet.)

    Doing The Morphs!
I'm back, took a fifteen minute break as it's 6:25am and my hummingbirds are outside. Had to go feed them. :) I LOVE this time of morning in Florida.

Okay, here's a screenshot. Let's play! Check this post, I will be adding photos here.
Oh my goodness, when you do the 5 year old, (Penny) be prepared to use your Camera Frame (that + thing in your viewport by the zoom tool) to find the little darling. She went POOF and even scrolling down, I couldn't find her! I left the makeup on because I was curious.
    Isn't she CUTE?

I'm leaving the makeup on so you can compare, then we'll take it off on the younger folks. Here's the 10 year old next. (Polly)

Next is the Young Teen Phoebie.

    The Sisters Morphs

So switching back to the default shader so you can see the difference from the Adv SSS-

    Portia Older Teen-
Anyway, I am using the zero out the morphs between each one of these, don't know if I have to or not but hey, it's there so I am using it.

    Last, Pricilla Adult.

NOW I go to work. I've gotta transform this lady! Going into Parameters>Actor>Head.

Going to keep the morphs "pure" first- no mixing.
Okay, first start with Portia using the SSS material setting. I'm not going to be able to do more than one or two per post as the forum is reversing the images. (If you aren't sure which one is which, put your mouse over the image and the name will tell you.)

This is Charlize 70% (the first image)
    Portia is the second image.

Nice renders. So what's your opinion of these products. Do you like them? Do you like the textures?

While i think the proportions might be useful, I admit to some ambivalence of the skin texture set. Not that it isn't good, simply whether I need it or not.

I admit, I'm sort of thinking I might buy the figure shapes- skip the texture set for now.

Sorry it took so long to answer, I had to get some sleep (went to bed at 9:30am and it's 3pm)
I don't particularly like the makeup options which have that blush- but I didn't do anything in the Surfaces section to adjust the results either.
I will have to say it is delightful to have all these sliders and options and you can really see what they do- and frankly with the limited Genesis 2 characters out right now, this really gives you the ability to dial up quite the combinations.

So far as getting the products, if you only wanted to buy one of them, definitely the Growing Up will get you smiling big time! So far, I do like Sisters textures frankly, as you have several options and you can really see the difference between them- and that's just with default lighting. But let's both see how they do under MY lighting- I'm doing a custom kid at the moment and I'll zoom in for the render, then we can see what the textures really do. :)

    Playtime!

    Meet Kylie!

Okay, keeping in mind I have only done ONE UberEnvironment2 lighting scene, (Tamesis with Venomwhip and Herdbeast at the mill) this is the exact same lighting setup (I saved as preset) with the addition of a spotlight coming from the right as this is a portrait. I'll play with the lights and let you see what I'm doing, but wanted to get you something to look at for now. I tweak lights for hours but you need to have something sooner than that :)

One thing to note- the specular light coming from the left is a yellow green (213/201/32) and so that glow on the left of her face is with that kind of input. I'll be doing regular lighting without UE2 and we'll see what the skin looks like.

Kylie's figure inputs will be listed here. The other morph dials, not. (too many- I used all settings, aka, for mouth, nose, eyes)
    Phoebie Young Teen Body 100%
    Victoria 6 Body 43%
    Charlize 25%
    Ariadne 33.1%
    Neomi .092
Penny 5 Year old Head 25%
Nyssa 1.00 (dialed all the way up, this is primarily a NYSSA FIGURE)
    Vianne 10.5%
    Victoria Head .40%

To answer your question though Serene Night- the settings were easy to work with- I didn't get an OMGOSH when the lighting was applied like I did with Charlize! So I'd have to say it's a thumbs up, very predictable.

Okay, give me about 20 minutes to go play (those videos got me sidetracked!) and I'll now do Kylie my standard way with spotlights and distant lights. (Going to bring in Scott Livingston's favorite light setup of mine, lol, the one I used for Seychelle)

Well, what worked on Seychelle's skin map definitely makes my gal Kylie absolutely blue (many of the distant lights were blue, and a few of the spotlights whitish blue.) See below.

Tweaking with warm yellows and light pinks. Okay, here's the pink/yellow tweaks.
EDIT: Same lights, rotating the figure (Y rotate) I'm testing for character features too- and not liking the really puffy eyelids. (Remember, that's from MY morphing added to the vendor's original character.) It's nice to use dramatic lights when crafting your figure, you can see easily note your "Ugh! areas.

So what I'm personally finding is I'm using more pinks and whitish pinks than I normally do- again, this is without messing with any of the Surfaces settings.

    Responding to a PM-
Yes, will be happy to share the colors. I'll tell you generally where the lights are that make the biggest difference-

spotlight shooting up, from underneath- placed down by the legs- light pink 255 / 231 / 225 58%
    distant light front right 255 /216/ 211 about 30%
distant light right 255/ 209/ 199, it's slightly darker than the first pink. about 20%

those three will get the rosy and keep the blues out if you're using a light setup that has some blues in it. :)

    I do!
And I make sure to tell people I've only done UE2 once and that's why I show what I"m experimenting with so far as the colors with the lights I add to UE2. Then, these second tweaks are for the light setup that I made for me with spotlights and distant lights. I ALWAYS have to tweak with every texture map :) I've found this one easy to work with and the characters look nice with and without UE2 lighting. Hope it does well for you!

WIP Dasani In The Ice Garden

My son, who NEVER comments on what I'm doing, walked by, stopped, and said, "Cool Ice Garden." So there ya go.
I've got about 10 different versions of this, and I'm hoping I saved this particular scene. This was a doodle. I've added more since then, but thought I'd share. The set was created from scratch. (Not bad for me, lol!) And yes, this DOES use UberEnvironment2. Yea for me!)

The character is V6, her name is Dasani. Her favorite color? Blue of course.
