New characters designed with Daz!
Great work! I too like the ship and waves.
Can you share some stats, like programs and plug ins used, total frames and time to render and computer specks.
Thanks great work inspiration for all.
Paul
Thank you, Paul!
I've used DazStudio for 3D and AfterEffects for editing and add FX. For the ship scene I worked with the Ocean Wide for Daz.
I never counted the total frames but there are a lot of them. It took long months to make the video. The revival scene took more than 500 hours of render! And I can render only by night. My Pc has an Intel i3 with 8GB Ram, works fine but I'm thinking to upgrade it :)
Thanks for the info.
If the video was rendered at 30 frames per sec, how long Is the video swould give the number of frames. 30 per secx 15 min. Would be 27000 frames. Thats a lot of render time. Hour each would be 27000 hrs devided 24 is 1125 days. I guess each frame didn, t take an hour each.
What is ocean wide? Did that make the water and waves.
Paul
Indeed Paul,
Not all the frames take an hour of render but some did. So that is why I can´t give you an exact number.
Ocean Wide is a Daz product that I've purchased. Here is the link:

Thanks for the link. I didn't know there was a plug in like that. Very interesting.
So how long is your video.
paul
4:29 min final version. Hope you like it!
Völvans Spadom
I did and thanks again for sharing. Keep us posted on your new work.
Paul
Thank you! I will...
Great short! Very emotional.
Thanks! Working on new episode already...
Looking forward to it!
Thank you!
A time without show up here....
I'm working on editing my novel with the story of War Of Ragnarok. To palliate printing costs I created a project in a crowfunding.
All willing to collaborate can enter here: http://ide.la/1vuuvRT and claim your reward.
Thank you very much!
PS: The book will be in spanish only (for now)
Sounds good, the funding site should generate a good response, the trailer is very well done.
I just finished a long set (18 hours) of video lectures on "The Vikings" (it really covers the entire history of Scandinavia):
http://www.thegreatcourses.com/courses/vikings.html
That in turn led me to read "The Prose Edda: Norse Mythology" by Snorri Sturluson (1179–1241) :
http://www.amazon.com/Prose-Edda-Mythology-Penguin-Classics/dp/0140447555/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1426809640&sr=1-1&keywords=prose+edda
Interesting stuff, I think my favorite character is Loki. It was a little surprising to read the short Prologue which described Adam & Eve, Noah and the flood, etc. I thought this Norse mythology sure sounds familiar ... :ohh:
Turns out Icelander Snorri was trying to meld Norse gods with the increasingly widespread Christian stories. Gotta sell books, right?
:zip: <- Snorri's Publisher</p>
All very interesting reading. I have read almost everything, especially the Prose Edda. I bought that book on my trip to Reyjiavik ;)
Hi! I ve finish all the classes of the nine kingdoms. You can see each race in My Gallery
Looking good. For some reason the image of Snorri the Blacksmith won't finish loading - I get a faded image and an endless circling shape that indicates "loading" I guess, but it never finishes. Is he related to the Snorri that wrote the Prose Edda?
Also, do the "words" (runes?) on your design above translate to English?
Thanks again Steve!
What you're saying seems to be a problem on the site. Happens the same to me quite often.
The name of Snorri was a way to honor him. ;)
The words in Norwegian correspond to each of the nine elements:
Vann: water, Is: ice, Luft: Air, Ild: fire, Tre: Wood, Metall: Metal, Nordlys: Northern Lights, Stein: stone, Jord: earth
:D

Ah! Te runes around the circle say the same (earth for the men, ice for the frost giants, etc)
Now that I finished to writing my novel I'm returning to the animation. Here, the last shot I'm working on.
This frame took me 5 hours of render...
This is super cool!
I'm back!
Finally the episode Lonely (Sea) Wolf is here!
