    Thank you Alberto!
In spite of the fact that I usually use Realflow, your plugin takes more and more place in my workflow.
I will devote my day of tomorrow to this new version.
My long project of animation already used it some times.
    Thanks again!

    Hi Alberto

Reference your advice    'Maybe an OpenCL CPU-only Runtime Package can help you: https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/opencl-drivers#latest_CPU_runtime.'

I installed this [which required me to uninstall Intel graphic drivers ]  and during installation a message said I already had an old version of OPEN CL.installed ! Anyway proceeded and now have an updated version but BAD NEWS fluidos still does not load the fluidsim.dll file

Using the latest version of Fluidos I tried both CPU and GPU setting in your plugin options.  Should I buy a new computer ?devil

    I'm afraid so... sad

    Try this:

    https://drive.google.com/open?id=1cUJBEOz4JyjBDWHKq3pjAnL7Sc40VnE6

It's a fluidsim.dll with no OpenCL at all. It not depends on installed OpenCL. It's a little slower, however.

Decompress and overwrite the fliudsim.dll of the new Fluidos version.

All references to openCL in fluid domain properties will be ignored.

    Alberto -

I'm dissapointed to tell you the NON openCL version did not work.  I am really appreciative of your effort  to solve my problem . There must be domething in my system stopping the sim running - But What ?

I dont wish to take up more of your time on this but will attach a few screen shots . There was an addtional message when running the latest  Fluidsim and some information about my system.

Someone made a suggestion concerning the 'signing ' of .dll files - I looked on the internet for this but couldn't find anything useful - seemed to be advice for developers ?

Once again thanks to you and those who have tried to help.

    0oseven,

I presume you have installed Carrara into a different folder than normal, namely Programs 3D ?

    If so, try this:

    1. Type cmd in the run box or find comand prompt in your windows program menu; right click it and run as Administrator
    2. When cmd opens type the following: regsvr32 C:\Programs 3D\DAZ 3D\Carrara8.5\Extensions\fluidsim.dll press return

This will register the dll with Windows, then you can try Fuidos again.   Hope that helps,  Selina

Thanks for repone Salina - unfortunately didn't work as per attached images of respsonses.

First I accessed cmd from desktop which opens with Path prefix Users/mike.

Then I dived into windows system and ran it from there path C:   ........ with similar result.

Did I paste in the correct path detail ?  Do the screen shots give any clues ?

The enabled or disabled checbox in the no OpenCL version doesn't matter, it is ignored.

Then the problem is other dependency, no OpenCL itself.

Did you use the Dependency walker at http://www.dependencywalker.com/?, it can say why your computer can load the dll. It seems it's missed other .dll that is needed for fluidsim.dll.

This is the screen of dependency walker for the fluidsim.dll with no OpenCL

This is with the OpenCL fluidsim.dll

It is marking errors for the OpenCL.dll (although in this case, it's an exaggeration of the Dependency Walker, because OpenCL is working well in this machine).

Maybe we can find the problem.

Thank you Alberto I will try 'dependency walker ' and persue this as long as you have time to support my attempts. One day this might all be very useful to someone else !

Also, you may or may not realise the potential but here's a short video where I exported the fluidos shape and created a new show for the camera to pan around it - great for modelling liquids don't you think?

    Happy Fluidosing!

    Very nice, Selina! laugh

You put the Cell Size... What about the Domain size? Which Magnitude you used on them? I want to reproduce them in my Carrara!
