Oh, beachwear! And just in time for summer renders, too!

    (looks at subject line)
"Aiko2"? Is there an Aiko that I missed somewhere? She looks a lot like Aiko3... :-)

On the numbers keyboard "5" is right above "2". I guess that´s the reason for this mistake. And the outfit looks very nice!

I believe that it is version '2' of the crop top. It is for Aiko 3.

progress report, i made the hems that, i believe improve the look a lot

3rd image shows the hems were inflated using a morph created with the help of mcjElevate

4th image shows the whole crop-top being inflated using a morph created with the help of mcjElevate

thinking i should make the "belt" of the crop-top fit tighter, maybe the shoulder straps too need to be improved
and, maybe i'll complete the bikini bottom and post it too !

Aiko 3 was internally referred as Aiko 2 during her development way back when.

same top and bottom but tightened onto her body

notably, the shoulder straps now rest on the shoulders and the upper part of the breasts

the sort of chest belt also is perfectly fit

though come to thing of it, how would she put it on?

also note the hems are not "rebuilt" yet

then since it's an old-school clothing item, i have to generate and tweak all the morphs ( up to 50 )

thanks!, looks like i could tighten them a bit more but i'd have to battle poke-through
anyway i may add a "tighten" morph

at one point one would need to convert Aiko to subDs

shown here the 11 hems were created

It looks really well now I think, it is only at some angles that you would be able to 'see in' to the perforations on the side. I think it is acceptable enough as it is. It is a great set for anyone who wants to use A5, and probaly Genesis as well.

i'll rig a morph-less Aiko3 aiko3 version and see how it fits for Gen

    Very carefully... :)

It looks like it wouldn't be any more difficult to put on than a sleeveless t-shirt would; she'd just have to be careful it's arranged properly before stepping out of the change-room.

somehow i had lost the tightened version,
but it's back ! now i have to regenerate the little 11 hems

in the 2nd image the sand is very very compacted and allows walking in high heels

and the shadow-thieves stole the shadows

I agree, it's really good. It is the very definition of 'Smart Casual', and the top could be used for so many things.

    EDIT:
The pun was unintententional, but it is very apt :-)

the blank bikini bottom test dance

that's the bikini bottom, rigged as a figure, no morphs, so today probably i'll be able to convert it to a Genesis asset/figure

there's just one brief poke-through event when the thighs and buttock side-side rotation is extreme

well actually there's an other one *mumble*

( 5th Element stewardess top wont be distributed, lets say it's for Amy only )

i'm not very knowledgeable concerning fitting clothes in Daz Studio 4.5
that's the result of fitting the A3 bikini bottom to Genesis ... not really useful so maybe i'll concentrate of finishing the top and bottom for Aiko3

It looks great! Does it require many JCM's? The test dance animation is amazing too. "it's for Amy only"? For me? :red:

i'll probably post the bikini/bottom without morphs, without JCMs, ... the same as used in the animated gifs dance

since almost everyone has DS4.5 it's possible to transfer the morphs from Aiko

later on i'll probably re-publish the bikini bottom with the (corrected) morphs

and i'll post the dance cycle animation ( it's a very mathematical dance using sines and cosines )

my Aiko based actress was named Amy by Posette in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-S3NWXT7vI
but since you're an Amy too, the dance must be made just-for-you ... too :)

    progress report

worked a bit on the leg-sit-or--walk morph

for small leg-joints rotations, like during a walk it's not needed though

... ooops this is meant for the bodycon dress thread !

crop top ( with racerback ) news

a cone follows a row of vertices of the crop-top mesh

this will be used to re-generate the crop-top for each of the 20-something morphs that will be included

when you'll apply a morph like "Breastsize4" or "Breastsize1" the crop top will keep its nice tight "tent" behavior

instead of looking glued on to the skin ... which is what i'd obtain using morphs provided by Daz Studio's 3's morph follower

( the results were not that bad though as you could see with the mcjA3Le03i )

once the "fibers" of the crop top have been normalized and straightened
"convex hull" processing was used to put them under tension
so we get a sort of tent effect or bridges
a minimum of 1.5mm of distance is maintained
    ( 1 mm gave some poke-through )

    ( breastsize3 morph created using scripts )

image 2 -- the breastsize4 morph didn't work as well, you could say my tailor-robot didnt crouch enough to work correctly on the under...

    image3 -- breastsize2 no problem

    image 4 -- breastsize 1

image 5 -- Cleavage -- i was expecting that one to be problematic, it's not!

i still have to show tell my tailor-robot to adjust the waist band and the back

excel graph showing an issue ( don't worry it will be resolved ) wherein the convex-hull treatment ( tent effect ) isn't working properly

note that it works fine most of the times but something's happening on the bridge over the Clavicle Lake

once that's resolved i will be able to quickly complete the morphs

great news, a hurdle on the road to the crop top has been overcome

the convex-hull ( tent / bridge effect ) did not work correctly because :

i developed it initially for the bodycon dress

the dress is a stack of tightened horizontal loops

for the crop-top's bra we have a series of vertical ribbons, a bit like bows

figure 1 : Here you see Aiko3 with the "Stylized" morph at 100%

figure 2 : the back strap will probably just hover over Aiko's back
