I know I am behind with my comments... I'm sooo sorry.... I'm still up to my elbows in Kittens... we are expecting 2 more on Friday... That means we will have 5 kittens for a few weeks... I will try not to make you all wait that long for my comments.  Right now I'm not being a good hostess and I will try and do better soon.  Thank you all for keeping this thread alive.  Huggiezzzzzzzzzz Summer to you all!

Nice render - but where's the pie shape? I can see circular plates, beakers, an octagonal table and trapezoid seats - am I missing something?

    Selina

The sections of the table itself!

Thanks Dana - but they look like triangles to me - maybe if the table was a circle and not a hexagon? Or are you looking somewhere else?

I think they are a loose approximation.  This is supposed to be fun and inventive, not sticking too much to rules or strict interpretations.  I may be wrong, but since Llola is the one who is hosting this thread...

An eighth is an eighth no matter if it is round or octagonal. besides if all pies were octagonal the kids could not complain about who got the bigger slice. They could and would argue who got the most toppings or who was served first. Also a round pie has more calories than a octagon.

Don't forget, when you cut the pie, some of the calories fall out!   laugh

Are you suggesting Llola Lane is loose, fun, inventive and does not stick to the rules.... good call.

You are correct Selina... Definition: The part of a circle enclosed by two radii of a circle and their intercepted arc. A pie-shaped part of a circle.... but ... I did say at the beginning of the month I was going to be lax with the rules this month.  I was looking for something different and got excited when I saw the table.  Since I am the moderator of this thread.. I think I'm going to be lax on myself.. lol.  I have racked my brain and this is the best I could come up with by the end of the month.  I'm up to my eyeballs with fostering kittens.. and i'm lucky to post anything.  AMEN!

That is correct unless they were your mom's rules. Never break the mom rules.

An umbrella like that would have me spending rainy days at the bakery. It may be a good thing we only get a few days of rain each year.

Very delicious and well done xmasrose.

    Ice Cream Clown

June has been a busy month. My husband retired on the 6th! I've been working on this scene off and on all month. (Sadly, I don't have a second image for the PFDLives sister thread.)

    Enjoy! wink

Very nice SimonJM but I think you under estimated the you know who's cake fund.

I was never a big fan of clowns L'Adair, but I love icecream clowns they are so funny and sweet and look real neat when they melt.
