Thank you xmasrose... which one? lol The front one is from Ken Gilliland... I got his Song Bird pack before he disappeared from Daz. The cardinal is a bit of a cheat. I put a stained glass window frame .jpg on a plain prim, made a transparent map, gave it some bump and displacement, then stuck it in the window. Easy peasy!
Both look great! And thank for explaining how you did it.
my pleasure ;)
Just an hour and a half of November left (for me, at least), so just in the nick of time .. or there was when I submitted it to deviantART, but dA looks to be broken now! So, I'll upload here instead!
Robotic spiders don't understand, the spinnerets are for pulling silk not sticky metal. By the way the render is very good SimonJM.
That's why he has a plasma welder in his mitt .. and thanks
WHEW.. made it just in time Simon.... YAY... I hate spiders... but they make such beeeeeeeeeutiful web work. Thanks for sharing!
OK Gang... Last render for the year is upon us. DECEMBER = CRESCENT ...(something with) a curved shape that has two narrow pointed ends, like the moon when it is less than half of a circle:
Post'em when it's midnight for you!
cool web
It's minutes away from 7pm here, and I'm finally rendering the image for this year's Christmas cards. (After numerous false starts!) I also managed to sneak in an octagon… Scratch that. I forgot to hide some polys first. Had to cancel and start again…! But that should be it. So with a little luck, I'll have something to post in an hour or two, well before midnight in Oregon. (Fingers crossed!)
I'm rootin' for ya....L'Adair. (fingers... toes... legs.. all crossed ;))
eyes crossed too
Almost two hours* one hour 'til midnight, and here's the image. No real title, just:
2018 Christmas Card
The octagon is a small package held in the left hand of the nutcracker. I believe it's a tin of hard Christmas candy for the missus, Santa has cleverly attached to the collectable nutcracker, also for his wife.
Enjoy.
*The phone rang as I was writing this post and side-tracked me.
wonderful work

Watching the Moon
What are you doing Phoebe asked her friend the fairy? The council of witches said if I was to ever know my true power I should keep an eye on the moon.
Please tell me that is not the real moon.
Well of course it is silly. How else could I keep an eye on it with this cloud cover.
good one
thank you bigh

Thank you Llola Lane and is it not obvious, which ever eye is open at the time (optional if they are both open).
