What does changing the arm pose slightly do, anything? Sometimes we just have to cheat :)

And I haven't a clue on this, but if this were my problem, it would be what I'd look at doing- is the mesh overlapping then? With the polygon editing tool you can select them and poof them away with zero opacity. Tricky, but....?

Tried that too. Unfortunately, not all of the polygons which need to be selected are completely overlapped by the main top.

Great render. Love Chiara's new hair, and her expression

Thanks. I'm trying to find the pose product (and of course my studio is messed up, selecting Gen2 and poses, or poses, in Content Library, nothing comes up, the arrows have again disappeared to continue clicking through- GRRR!) It had something to do with chairs. BTW, when you go to your Product Library and type in "Poses" how many pages of poses do you have? I have five full pages and two items on the sixth page- wow!

When I do a search for the word pose it pulls up 6514 items with the word pose.

    You're welcome :)
I've found that it's worth it to get to tier 2 just for buying from the stores with the stacked discounts. But as we saw, gotta get them fast, Stonemason's store was ONE DAY at 30%, stacked with the EDIT: 44%. I keep saying 40%, and it's 44.

So for those wondering, if something was 10.00...
A store at 30% off would be 3.00 off, or $7 price.
    Then 44% off that $7 (I think I kept saying 40%, it's 44%) would be 3.08 off.
So $7-$3.08= $3.92 final price. So $10 items were $3.92.

So you'd get $6.08 off, which is 60%! (I love using $10 as an example because it's so easy to see how it works.) I had to sit there and calculate it when shopping yesterday, because I was like, "Duh, how much am I actually saving- what percent?" For stores that had items more than 30% off, it was a steal!

Man, I haven't made it to tier 2 yet. Only tier 1 both times. Hopefully this week, although I'm not buying to get there. I would like the D5-pro bundle. have what I want from the other bundles, and those coupons sound sweet. =-)

Well good grief. I'm out of ideas. The ONLY other thing I can think of would be to change your character's chest and shoulder size.

SereneNight- What I wanted to know was how many pages do you have in your Product Library for poses, aka, how many have you bought? I was looking for the chair pose product used in the last render and that's when I typed in "poses" in the Product Library- then decided I don't need any more, lol! (FIVE FULL PAGES plus 2 items starting the 6th page. Heavens!)

One of you two (or anyone) might be able to help me with a slight issue I'm having with the Dragon Princess Dress. I'm getting clipping between the outer dress top's trim and the "Top Border" piece. The latter is poking through the former no matter what adjustment morphs I add or what Smoothing Adjustments I make. The only thing that "works", if you can call it that, is turning the opacity of the Top Border to 0 and thus hiding it completely. Unfortunately, the dress really doesn't look right without it. (I have the opacity for it set to 50% in the attached image) The circled areas of the linked image below show what I'm talking about.

Is it a morph for the figure shape that is causing this to distort? If you zero the character out does the distortion disappear? Just curious if the genesis morph may be causing this.

    That does nothing.

Well, wait a minute. Try unchecking any of the "fit to" or "point at" options. See if it moves at all. Now, I'm out of ideas. Except to reload it, sometimes they go on a different way. One question- did you load the dress before or after she was posed? If after she was posed, then save her pose, take off the dress, reset her to the T position, load the dress, do the pose. Try that anyway if nothing else works?

In my gen 4 section alone I appear to have 74 sets of poses that I have bought or separated out from other packages I bought.
My I'm glad you told me about handy dandy!

I'm sure I have just as many genesis 1&2 sets

I am a pose set fiend though. I lurve poses. Anything to make my day easier I go for.

Curses, I found all but one of them. It was so subtle that in the end I had to check your spoilers list just to save me from my madness. In case you're wondering, it was spoiler #2 on your list. :)

That was really well made, thanks for sharing.

There are TWO things to help you get closer to, or achieve Tier 2. The Country Kitchen Accessories and Drone Thunder- to get both, you only need $1.59 in your pocket as a PC Member. Worth getting to get that $6 off code and the 44% discount on that list of stores I provided earlier (if the vendors who have promo products this week are the ones we get the discount on, which is how it is supposed to work and how it worked week 2) Drone Thunder is a cute Petipet product. (I can see SereneNight drooling right now, plotting another aircraft render...)

LOL I tripped up on that one two. Enjoyed the challenge, if you feel like doing more of these they are a lot of fun. Although I think game or not, it's a very nice render.

To troubleshoot, the only thing I can suggest is write down her percentages, zero her out, and then add them in, and see which one-if any is causing the dress problem. I hope that helps. =-)

I picked it up, and some more carnival stuff. The carnival stuff renders well and is fun to use... =-) Also got country kitchen freebie.

More teen girl stuff this time 'round, which I'm passing on. I'm bummed the hairs aren't for points. Now I do so love Josie's hair! =-)

It was great fun! I found some variations I liked better when doing it as well. Although I admit some elements were crazing making. That file is over 50 MG and took a long time to render. I love that carnival set. Jack did a great job with it. =-)

It was fun, and I can see I'm going to make more now. I enjoy the challenge. I admit that one was subtle, but is an actual variation of that particular item. It could be more colorful. =-)

Sure! I actually thought about that with the forest/pool render- that would have been fun! But at the moment, Novica is busy doing her studio completely from SCRATCH. I got tired of six months of battling with my CMS being totally, blatantly GLITCHY. "Corrupt." "Corrupt" Whatever. Nothing fixed it. No Products or Categories in Content Library. (And yes, things were under Default, etc.) No Smart Content. I DELETED EVERYTHING, including Program Files, etc- after making a copy to an external hard drive. So I have my products and am bringing them in one by one, and everything is working. Will be categorizing them, one by one.

In short, I decided not to render anytime soon until I get my studio where I actually enjoy starting it up, instead of dreading it- and having content there that I installed. It's also in the 70's here now (or low 80s) so most days I am going to be gone at least half a day out at the ranch. DAZ is my second priority, always, compared to being out and physically active.

Just curious ...did you make sure to delete the content database before starting over, just to be sure its not interferring with your new installs? I am considering uninstalling everything too and starting over, categorizing as I install, was afraid I would lose my works in progress tho so was questioning that part first

So out of curiosity and to help you decide if you want to go for tier 2 due to shopping: If I have this right, the stores that are going to be offered in the tiers for Week 3 should be the vendors participating in Week 3 with their products. If there are two vendors on one product, I am assuming both stores must be in the promo-aka, there is one by Esha and Swam, etc.

Hmmm- some are DAZ3d, do they offer that deal on DAZ Originals?

I have a render of one I did and will post it in my thread when I get home from work today.

LOL- actually, it is such a RELIEF- I just did the essentials and stupid me, I never realized you can RENAME items- the categories that already exist, and the products themselves! Have you ever gone into your studio and thought "What the heck does this go to?" only to find it was one of those essential products? So in the Default category, I went Environments>Architecture>Exterior>ESSENTIALS and the column, post, fence, and wall are all there and I know it's a matching set from the Essentials.

I totally redid the People category and listed Generatn 4 with Aiko, Stephanie, Michael, Victoria etc each with their own folder. I've found SO many things I didn't know I could do- aka renaming files and products, how to move folders, how to just click on a product and categorize- but really, all this works best from scratch as you can just drag from the external hard drive to your C directory, then put them in your categories (make them first.) This is actually turning out to be a fun day :)

Getting rid of that stupid Content Management Service was my NUMBER ONE GOAL!!! It's corrupt- if you do all this categorizing then have the stupid think disappear, stop running, etc- it's a waste of your time.

First, don't uninstall anything. Get an external hard drive and name the files EXACTLY what they are- aka, for my program files, I labeled the main folder PgrmFilesVs4.6Oct13 so I wouldn't get it confused with my 4.5 (or any future releases.) Always name your version.

TIP: The October 13 tells me it's October 2013. If a later version of 4.6 got done this way, I'd know by the Nov13 or Dec13 (in this case, only 2 months left) what version is the latest.

Be sure you get EVERYTHING that relates to DAZ to that external hard drive. It can take hours though to move your content. My gosh, doing all this, I had 66.8 GB, 216,042 items to move overall. It took 3 hours- well worth it.

TIP: Keep your render library on an external hard drive, or periodically move your renders that you aren't using. That was really, really eating up the bytes on my computer!

It is refreshing to go to My Library in my external drive and bring over ONE GROUP AT A TIME- aka, 3D Universe in Animals, and put the snake and mouse exactly where I want them (will do a furry section, an amphib/reptile section under animals. You'd LOVE this Kharma!
