Nice toon scene !!!
Good news that you got it sorted.
Hmmm, maybe those bugs were replicating in your software. Hope you get it fixed.
Many thanks, Bunyip!
oh noo my new monitor?
thank you!! i never wouldve figured out what was going on
is my 1st uhd monitor
i'm at 125%, i'm legally blind, need the boost doh.
To work in Carrara, I put the monitor at a resolution 2560 to 1440, 100%. Then it works fine for me.
the 100 percent was the trick !!
i set the resolution down to 1600x900 so i can still read the screen.
thank yooo
gahh cant lock the hot point. trying to use the freebie lightsabre
and the incantu skeleton, he'll only move if i select its hip
the old target helper to the rescue, parented lightsaber then was ale to move it.
grouping it didnt help, only the hot point moved. constraints issue?

you got your CAPS LOCK ON?
well obviously not typing here but when you were moving your sabre.
Misty, I'm glad you got it sorted out!
Thank you, everyone, for the comments on my wiches. Having seen it now on someone else's monitor, I don't like the background, not enough contrast with the figures. Will have to swap it out.
Misty - that looks like the Incanto skeleton! Very cool concept. Great to see this figure work in Carrara.
Everyone - wow, I took a look at the entry thread as part of identifying the brightness and contrast problems in my witches image. Y'all are amazing. We seem to have a lot of fire.
Special shout out to UB for reminding us that we are one red button away from Mushroom clouds.
I was headed this way with my second entfry, but maybe not...
Who says bubblegum can't be scary? As in bubblegum rock. "My boyfirend is back and there's gonna be trouble."
One interpretation, with a free street lamp that I picked up at shareCG.
And some screen shots of the set up.
@MAJourney - thanks for a little taste of your second entry. Get it? Little taste? OK< I'm sorry. That is a seriously good horrific start.
Lots of content in my 'Boyfirend's Back' project. Woman is G2F dial spun 50% Mei Lin and 50% Lotus, with Ringo's Carrara shader for Mei Lin. Outfit jeans and shoes are from CJ casual, while the top is from Automn Soft, both available in the Daz store. The plants are by Mike Moir and Dartanbeck, purchased from Daz store, but vendors dropped. The zombie is G2M with dial spun creature features, morphs from the Daz store. Zombie outfit is the 101 Jeans and TShirt available in the Daz store.
The freebie is the lamp by spacebones at sharecg (two instances).- https://www.sharecg.com/v/85088/related/5/3D-Model/Old-Gas-Lamp
I did model the park bench, trash can, and the flames in the lamps. I also creatd the terrain in Carrara, and used the 3D paint tool to set out the opacity masks for the paths.
THEY'RE COMING!! THEY'RE COMING!!
Yep, needs fixed
Glow is 0.25 on the eyes. Octane3 makes it too bright
this one is suitabley horrorful!
wonderful idea the glowing eyes - glad I am not in the scene :)
Well, @Headwax_Carrara, your stuff will be in this one..
My poem
Among us they walk
The human form they take and in human tongues they talk
But beastly in nature are they
Who sleeplessly hunt through night and day
With unseen bows is Cupid's arrow sprung
Upon men and women, old and young
For what is sweeter, more delicious
Than the love-filled h3art they tear from us
Still awork to do. i don't have time to mess aitfh fluidos to make her hand bloody. any quick altdernatives?
all looks good hurry up people and get them in, entry closes November 30 midnight mountain time
I changed the shader on the terrain, redued the Toon 3 filter settings, and rendered th 3 MacBeth witches over again. I also gave the 2 witches the first line.
Another slight adjustment to move the word bubbles in the frame.
Shall we proceed, my dear?
A bargain struck,
I set him free.
And now your flesh
Belongs to me!
Wendy is pretty much to blame for this last-minute render. I had intended to enter only one image per Challenge for a while, as I'm working on another project. But Wendy has reminded us several times over the years that Victoria (V1) is still sold by Daz in the Mimic Lite package. Curiosity finally got the best of me, as I had to see what was really there.
It's the real deal! The skin is awful (painted on underwear), but that is easily remedied by looking up free V1 skin resources. I expected there to be no morphs in the V1 package, and was pleasently surprised to find a small number of very useful head and body morphs.
Vicky, you've been unfaily neglected!
The beast head is from The Gremlin (also part of the Mimic Lite package) and the beast body is Devourer loaded into Freak 3. Devourer had displacement maps, yay!
Vicky's top is a Jyune freebie for A3, and the clasp in the center is the Carrara freebie (Link Bracelet from PhilW). Hair is Radiant Jaguar.
Background (blurred) is a wall from Telrunya.
I tried for some degree of realism, and used a mixture of HDRI, GI, and distant lights with soft shadows. Highest settings, so it took a couple of hours. :)
No postwork. But there was plenty of prework, including adjusting some texture maps in PSE.
Among us they walk
The human form they take and in human tongues they talk
But beastly in nature are they
Who sleeplessly hunt through night and day
With an unseen bow is Cupid's arrow sprung
Upon men and women, old and young
And the smitten fall prey to their gluttonous delight
The body left whole in the candlelight
Robbed of that which we so cherish
For by the loving heart alone do thwy nourish
coming along very nicely... postwork is the best way.. quick and fairly easy to do with the right brushes... Ron's Brushes is a good start.
UB... Vicki never looked so good ... great stuff
postworked crappy bloody hand
awesome... and it leaves to the imagination as to what she is devouring
