well I'm glad you were able to fix it.
just that one little number makes a huge difference.

whenever something changes after a new install. Check the install first.

One for Windows 7 etc users.
I copied Genesis.dsf from Studio\My Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis\Base\ into a separate folder then right clicked on the original file, scrolled down to restore previous versions. One previous version was found then restored. With Genesis now working again copied that version and named it as BaseGenesis.dsf for next time!

ok.. It's happened AGAIN.. ughh... I was making a metadata Michael 5 morphed... and now ALL my Genesis characters have Michael 5 in them.. I've done ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the previous suggestions... so PLEEEEEEEASE don't mention them again.. NOTHING I've tried is working. I also went to this thread...... http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/20718/ and tried ALL those suggestions and I'm still getting Michael 5 in all my Genesis characters... I need someone who knows what they are doing in DAZ pleeeeeease... It may be a bug in the program.. or I'm not doing the Metadata saving right... I hope someone with some knowledge can help... Pleeeeeeeease... I'm stuck.. THANK YOU :)

Click the gear icon on the Michael 5 slider and choose Parameter Settings. What are they? In particular the default value.

    Hi Richard...
I was playing some more last night before I got your message and the Michael 5 is gone... Now I get Genesis FEMALE with EVERY Genesis character... She has 1 as default... and value is 1... if I change them to 0 as per a previous conversation... (I'm learning)... the character defaults back to main genesis... but... if close that character down and open it again.. Genesis FEMALE is back.. so it only holds the command for that item.. not future items.. (sighs)
p.s... I'm awake now.. answers should be quicker... I was sleeping :)

Well, I forgot to say that you then need to go to File>Save as>Support Assets>Save Modified Assets and to make sure that only the ones you've changed are checked in the dialogue that appears. However, it's quite possible that another morph is causing the problem - there was, as I recall, a female warrior set at ShareCG that set the female shape to on again because its default value was 1.

ok.. Richard... did as you suggested... but my BASIC MALE still has BASIC FEMALE boobs... (see picture)

if I close the program and reload basic male.. he still has boobs... same with all my genesis characters... Freak 5 looks strange with boobies :(

OK, try this. Go to Edit>Figure>Zero>Zero Figure Shape. Now go to the Parameters or Shaping pane and click on Currently used on the left-hand side. Any morphs that are set to non-zero values by default should now be listed as they are set to zero, and therefore not in their default state. You want to edit any of those that don't seem legitimately non-zero by deault (click gear, Parameter Settings, set the Default and current values to 0) and then save the modified assets.
