    Yago
    http://www.daz3d.com/yago

Here we go with more Phoenix1966 men.
I had no trouble at all with the lights and Yago. Good heavens, you have SO many thumbnails to choose from- I'm not sure what went with what, I think I got lucky that the head and body materials matched.

"Yago has 2 body options: one that utilizes a mixture of the Morphs++ and the Elite Body Shapes, and one that only uses the Morphs++, both for ease of fitting clothes. " They mention he is so real, he has dandruff. (Ugh. Too much information.)

    Happy New Year, everyone!

My Top 10 Content of 2013 list has now been posted, here.

Thought I'd share a couple of renders of one of my selected products: Royal Court Bundle by ARTCollaborations. These are what-you-see-is-what-you-get renders, not an attempt to be artistic. I rendered at 2000x2000 resolution, so please view at full size and check out all the great details, and the amazing amount of stuff you get!

For the bird's eye one, I made the ceiling transparent and also dropped the opacity of a couple walls to 35%. Otherwise, it's just the included content, with DS materials presets applied (don't skip this step, DS users...the items load with Poser materials), using one of the included lighting options. For many of the props there are a variety of materials options to choose from: maybe clean and dirty, or light or dark wood, or gold or silver, depending on the object. You can load each prop individually, but there are also presets to fill each room with furniture and other props; for some of the rooms, you can choose between different arrangements.

For the more zoomed-in render, I wanted to show that, even rendered larger than you'll probably ever need them, most of the textures hold up really well (the wall texture is slightly blurry at this size, but check out the detail in the floor and the table). I really appreciate both the attention to detail, and the surprising number of options this bundle has.

I was a big fan of ArtCollab's Dungeon set too (that was from 2012 or it would have made my list). I also bought their new one Mad Lab...it looks amazing but I haven't had a chance to try it yet...

    Happy New Year Scott-L! :)
That was the set that I selected when I won the Humor Category for the last RRRR contest- it's a gorgeous set!

For our top 10, it's what you bought or USED in 2013- so if you want to fiddle with your list, feel free. Sometimes it's hard to test everything bought in a year, so we thought that would be the best route to go. Or, keep your list the same and just tell us what you would have added :)
    Thanks for the review!

I'm going to VOTE with Scott here. For Price to content you can not BEAT the ArtCo sets. Not only does ArtCo offer us users so many Great quality FREE items, lots of those from them in my time, but their full products are fantastic. I think I may have a larger collection of ArtCo than any other Vendor, and I love me some PA's I collect lots of stuff.

Interesting. Lots of things in my wishlist are 14% off. (corrected, ah, I see, this is the 14% listed in other savings). Got it!

I agree about Art Collaborations. Good stuff there. A couple of my favorite items were produced by this PA.

One thing I don't like about the site layout- I usually go to New Releases to see the rotating banner (Flash Sales) instead of Hot Promotions- which sometimes doesn't have all the "hot promotions." New Releases is my "go-to" page. I also hate the little tiny * that has THE most important information, such as what doesn't apply to what. (and those pesky "can not be returned" blurbs which are SO important.

BTW, I am here on the thread, but I'm back on the post that lists the products for the first 20 pages. Been working on that since 7:30am. IF you folks think about it, do me a favor and post who the vendor(s) are (and please do a copy/paste just as they appear, I'll do the capitalization) I'm putting the vendors so if there is a Flash Sale, everyone can skim the list and pull out those items. I will do a BY VENDOR list when I get these done. That should be cool. So since I am doing the Admin tasks, you won't see a bunch of renders for awhile. Keep an eye on that list so you'll know what has already been showcased- but again, it's more than alright to do them several times. :)

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!
And I wish you all a year full of creative input :D

I'll take the vendor name in mind when I post my next review Novica.

Thanks- and if you don't remember, that's fine. It just saves me from having to click on all the links to go get the vendor :) That adds up timewise. I'm on page 13 right now, getting there! (Doing groups of 20 pages.) Happy New Year to you too!

Link to list so far: on page 15 now. http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/34269/#506843

If any of our IGC's are thinking about what to showcase, we sure could use some help with some of these products-
    Products starting with the letters:
EDIT: Also numbers- like 3D (3D Universe, etc)
    A
    B
    I
    K
    L
    N
    P
    Q
    U, V, W
    X, Y, Z

I'm also going to identify vendors we're missing. (Again, this is just an FYI. I know I'll be focusing on them, but you don't have to if you don't want to. I'd just like to share the wealth, so to speak.) I'll put the list together by vendor after I do the first 20 pages, then we'll have a better idea.

    Happy New Year, everyone!!!

Thank you, Novica, for all the lovely (and not-so-lovely) Phoenix66 men. I have a lot of them too and use their textures on Genesis and Genesis 2 Males. They are awesome!

Novica, what do you mean by products beginning with those letters? Products or vendors? (My head is still a bit wonky from too much celebrating last night. %-P )

I am enjoying and working on renders of the new 'security' outfit for gen 2 males. I'll have that for you all tomorrow.

This outfit is a lot of fun and has tons of morphs!

Lol -- kinda funny... I'm working on a render now with Ariadne for V6, Rose Thorn and its "Briar" textures, and Inked 1 for Genesis 2 Females. That's A, B and I in one image. I'll post the render as soon as I'm done!

You a mind reader or what???

Although I am going to post the second 20 pages separately in that post I reserved, I am also going to put them into the first set also. So those will be a big help!

I THINK that is the one SereneNight and I (before this thread) were PMing about over a year and a half ago. She might have it- I think she did a beautiful render with it that was either on the member's thread or she did put it in our thread 2. Am I loco SereneNight?

Heads up - Simple Veins HD page is not found. Has it been taken off? SereneNight reviewed it and properly linked it I'm sure. Because when I go to my Product Library there is no page. The blurb comes up, but you can't go to the link that's always there that says "Go to product page."

So I'm glad you put the vendor SereneNight! :) I don't link to the product pages anyway, but I'm having to go get the vendors on most of them so I found the 404 page not found. Anyone read anything on the forums about this product being removed?

This is a Daz product and I have to admit I passed it up several times as altho it had some neat props it just didn't have enough "oomph" but then I discovered there was a great texture set for it byDaz3D/ LaurieS. Like I said, these are both Daz3d products so right now you can get them for 1.43 each due to the sale. Post 1 is a basic render of the props and the second is a dressed up textured render. I really like these props even tho they are older, it includes smartprops for the bowl, cup, spoon and ladle for M3. The background is enchanted forest by Stonemason.

Oh WOW. Newbies are going to be frustrated about THAT one. Particularly if they see the beautiful job SereneNight did with it.
I am almost done with the first 20 pages. I am going to go to the list from thread 2 and start putting the ones in there that are already done, that will help you all know what has been shown. (Again, feel free to do your own showcase of those too.)

Kharma, I just PM'd you to ask about the setup of that tent- but from the second render, it appears it is supposed to be elevated off the ground, which makes sense- and is it tipped forward with longer poles in the front? I figured I'd post the question as other people will probably want to know. So just answer here if you don't mind, and ignore the PM :)

    Nice render Kharma.

Edit: I still need to work on my camping scene.

I'm tempted to showcase products that start with the letter "S" in my thread. I have a lot of products that start with S. Nice idea Novica.

Sorry I already answered your PM, but again I can answer here :) Yes it seems to have legs to elevate it, but I wanted to get it as close to the ground as possible without sinking into the ground, still appeared a little floaty tho.

Luci45, your welcome. :) The props are great but it really needs the textures for the extra POP!

    starionwolf, thank you :)

LOL, there's a BUNCH of them! It's a very popular letter. The m, s, t's are in abundance.

Speaking of campfires, what are you folks' favorite ways to light them? I think I've only done two fireplace scenes, and I use pointlights at the base, then move up with Y translation and diminish the strength and add a different color, then a third for the top tip. Blue is at the bottom as it's the hottest. Can't remember if yellow or orange is next, I looked it up once (but have to get back to my links- I am NOT getting sidetracked.)
