nicely done!
1920 Ford pickup... bit of a real kitbash here, at least 4 different source models..
That looks really good
Thanks.. Took a bit of work to make all the parts fit.. One thing I was pleased with was taking a wheel set from 3dClassics wheel bundle, retexturing and adding a brake drum mesh..
Pair of Deuces:
and now for something different - 1972 Didge Valiant Charger VH E49 - Australian market - came with a 225 CI straight six with 3 sidedraft Webers and a 4 speed manula (that was the E49 Spec).. Quite the hot little number, apparently..
Latest - 1952 Harley FL.. (again a bit of a kitbash, with parts from several models) I remeber these . never had an FL, but I dd have a '37 ULH and a '55 KH.
Had a 47 WLA that was given to me by a cousin
Mate of mine had a chopped WLC (like a WLA, but the Canadian model) was the most gawd-awful shade of yellow.. looked like he used ex-school bus paint.. was a fun bike, though..
Land Rovers... (and not the new fancy-schmany ones) and blast - I just noticed a texturing error on the second one..
I remember working on some of them or rather trying to as getting parts was a nightmare.
We would call the dealership and tell them what part was needed and then came all the fun as they asked where the vehicle was manufactured and for what region of the world and what area of that region and what options it had which of course being here in the US we had no idea and often as not neither did the owner so it was send them a list of serial numbers and they would try to find the right part and heaven help you if the owner had replaced the engine, tranny or other drive train parts with parts from a salvage vehicle because then it was send us the part and we'll ship to British Leyland and maybe they can figure it out
I never owned one, but my brother in law had a late 60's Defender.. It was pretty good offroad, and in the winter, but my Lada Niva was pretty much irs equal (both in capability and quasi-reliability :) )
1958 Plymouth Fury revisited.. (found some good color info!)
That looks really good
Thanks!
1986 Shelby Omni GLHS - I always dreamed of dropping one of those turbo 2.2's into my K-car - it would have fit!
Ford Thunderbird
For a list of all assets used you can visit my gallery.
Yep it would have bolted right in.
They were notorious for oil leaking down the back from the turbo and onto the exhaust
Nice! A real life scene, too! Nice work!

Speaking of which, have you seen this;
https://www.cgtrader.com/free-3d-models/car/suv/old-jeep-car-low-poly-style
Not the standard one, but brings back memories...
The geometry looks pretty good (very good), but need to bring it to Blender to have a closer look.
yeah, I remember that.. sure would have been fun, though.. I remember our local dealer gave me a copy of the MOPAR Performance Catalog, so I could dream.. In the old Aries, sure would have made a nice sleeper..
Thanks! will check it out..
Nice - I remember those old T-Birds.. Neighbour had a black '62 convertible T'bird with a red interior.. I would have loved to had that! Nice to see the HDRIhaven Sunflowers hdri used - it works really well with US.
Just going to leave this here... (still trying to find a reasonable shader aproximation for Mazda's Soul Red color.)
nice one!
WOW! You guys have been really busy rendering some cool cars. I have a few of the HDRI backgrounds I see here. I am going after some more now after seeing all these. Thanks guys for keeping our thread alive. We are going into the Mark VI version soon. This thread has been up for many years and always seems to stay up in the first five set of threads. Just can't keep a good car down...hahaha. Keep um' comin'!
Could be an Aston Martin DB7 Vantage V-12?
Like that one Sven!!.. reminds me of here in the winter.. (needs snow tires, though :) :) )
Tks! Yeah snowtires... great idea...hmm maybe ultrascatter:) I may give it a try...
here's ours! a necessity up here...
