I've noticed that as well. The "Wire" display mode in the Assemble room doesn't appear to even attempt to reproduce the actual wireframe that you create, but instead creates its own version of a wireframe for the objects in the Assemble room. I think its sole purpose is to produce an easier to manipulate display for polygon heavy scenes.
I don't know of any way to display the actual wire frame in the assemble room while rigging an object. Although you can display it for modeling purposes by clicking the "Edit Vertex Object" (wrench) tool.
Hi de3an,
Thanks for confirming. It's been totally workable (but, annoying...), and I finally had to ask.
Another feature request / fix for Carrara X.
any ngons?
the bit that started the model, is it still in there mebbe.
watchrd a mmoir tutt, he deleted the starter bit after, i think was using the lathing
Been playing with concept. I found the Star Trek bridge on ShareCG. I had to do a lot of work with the shaders.
Cbird - cute cat !
Diomede - nice dice & that gal is sticking up for everyone that's been probed !!!!
Misty - hope Zelara gets finished
DesertDude - love your Monster !
EP - woohoo you've joined in as well !!
Green Lady ...... from....
Lost in Space !!!
Joining the Green Alien movement - ZOT
Stezza's astronaut looks like he came over dressed for the party, and Zot looks like he's saying "what about me?" Lol!
Can I say that I'm "green" with envy over the talented artists here?
do green hairy cucumbers count?
A time when men were men, women were women, and green hairy cucumbers were real green hairy cucumbers.....
With apologies to Douglas Adams
hairy cucumbers give the dinos heart burn
Needed to render a basic green Orion dancer.
I would love to do something like this, but it will take too much time
Like.
makes for a great challenge theme....
@Diomede looking forward to more green renders from your new machine...
Another Green Alien....
Ghost predator! Good one.
I just wanted to render in a Howie Farkes scene because I can. Here is Keiko 6 and a hatchling dragon in Howie's Darkwald. Replicators, reflections, etc., I would have struggled with this set before.
Everyone's work is looking totally fantastic!!
This is still my WIP(s)...
I do have some "representational" head models I have worked on in the past, but decided to try to keep the flavor of the sketch alive. So...a lot more to do still, but here is some more progress of "Alien Green Monster"...not really sure what is really happening anyway in the original sketch, but those people don't look too happy...
Swirling fog stuff consists of two Carrara Fog Primitives...not sure I like it, but I need something to obscure the bodies from those heads...yeah, needs much more work.
Carrara 3D paint on the heads. All Carrara.
P.S. Already experimented with adding some Carrara Motion Blur into the final (not in the images in the above post)...for example the alien's arms...and some camera rotation. It was subtle, but I liked it. Stay tuned...
Love this monster, DesertDude!
Diomede, I think I'm green with render envy.
Bunyip, that alien is spooky!
ENTRY THREAD : Kinky Green Onions (Orions)
Do we still have until tomorrrow, the 24th to enter? Thanks
not an entry but Melody and Micah are both taking a leek
I know what you did there .... lol
Going for an expensive render to enter, but meawhile, if I don't make it, on time, here is the render without native Motion Blur plus a sceen grab.
Cheers!
