Honestly, I have a tendency to be so grim on my renders and everyone offered Novica such wonderfully fun renders for her mother that I was inspired. And that path, where I wasn't expecting it, begged for something out of place.

A quick one trying out HD Volumetric Clouds with Terradome 3 and CS Dimetrodon. Lighting is Sun and Sky Only.

Everything has been tweaked in Iray as I just can't leave things as they are :)

Oooh that is nice! I love the way the clouds show the light, but also the landscape underneath.

Just carrying on with some quick setups using things from my Runtime.

This is Planet Teros, for the rocks, Rigged water Iray 2 for the stream, water volume 03, and the small waterfall, pour 03, and Panthers. The lighting and background is an HDRI.

I don't like the mouth, too plump for my personal preferences.

I'm loving the Ultrascenery script and addons. I'm not nearly so proficient with it as barbult, (that woman amazes me time and again!) but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. This is the first scene I've put together that I really like.

This scene uses UltraScenery - Landscape Features Volume 1, (for the lake,) and UltraScenery - Ecologies Volume 1, (the oaks.)

I managed to finish the landscape. I had the Long Stretch of Deserted Road, then bought the add-on Long Stretch of Forrested Road both by First Bastion, and added Skies of Gaia Vol 2. I have Vol 1 and have used them extensively. Of course by DimensionTheory.

Driving in the Western United States is not flat, there are undulations that hide hazards: washouts, cattle crossings, wrecks, and on coming vehicles that pop up over the hill, just as you start to pass some old farmer's truck. And of course the tailgating SUV who is speeding.

@memcneil70. Love you image.  I also picked up Skies of Gaia but am having an issue could you stop by my thread and give me some pointers?  Pretty Please.

Or anyone else who might have suggestions!

@Daventaki. Sorry about the delay, I haven't been on the forums much today. Working, baking, and fighting with my desktop and Daz.

Thank you. I put a note in your thread. Not sure if it will help or not. I played with the height settings a bit, the different terrains, and sky/clouds, and tone mapping before I did anything. (I think this was the first time I actually tried to figure out all these things 'Before' I went to use them in a render.) Laptop available now. The different skies, seem to be the same scene, but the colors change the emphasis a bit. Then using the Rotation option, it moves you to a different view. I need to copy this to your thread now.

With that render, and on the ones I did with UltraScenery, I was working blind.

This started off redoing the shaders on The Old Railway and the Thumper to change them to Iray and it grew into something else.

Today in the PC for a day there is an item called Boxes. Who else has it?

At that price it's a steal!

It's the kind of product you'll use in a lot of scenes and from @Sylvan you know it's top quality. It's all kind of boxes, archive, gift, drawer box, shoe box... you name it. It even has matches! And stacks of boxes...

I used it in a number of different renders like these (and more) :

Thanks for the recommendation; I totally overlooked that. Grabbing it! :)

I saw your post after I had combed over the offerings and had a "How did I miss that?!" moment, then hit your link and found out I had it already. You are so right, it is a great product.

I love your renders. I think I had seen the bottom one when I bought Boxes and it helped to seal the deal for me. But the Christmas render is charming. Never too early to get ready.

    @cismic, Thank you.

    xmasrose, Thank you, as well.

I bought "Boxes" last February. I'm always on the lookout for products that I can use for the clutter that makes a scene look more realistic. This is a great find for that, and a great price!

@Fishtales, both images look great, but as a non-fan of zombies, I admit I prefer the first one.!

I'll be doing my "B" Genesis 8 females, but not devoting as much time to it as I did the A's. I'm prioritizing Real Life, so not online as much. Won't be doing outfits. I'm trying to narrow down characters to use and some I can take one look at and not bother with (Some came in bundles, others were freebies, dirt cheap, etc.)  So this isn't all I have, but the ones I want to render and see how they look.  We've got some big storms rumbling in, and I get offline for lightning so I'm not ignoring posts, just offline for awhile. :)  I'll be doing BD (Belladzines) gals for quite awhile as I want to see how they differ. I'll go ahead and post the B's who I've already done, and fill in with the ones I'm testing.

    Bahari (G8F)

Later in the thread, several of us explored the BD teeth issue of the teeth looking dull, gray, off-colored. These renders show some of the teeth with the fixes (Subsurface Workstation, the neutral colored wax, among others) and some characters didn't need fixing. It's hit or miss.

    BD Harlyn

    BD Hilde

    BD Jaiyana (G3F / G8F)

    BD Jayde

BD Lenore (this shows the default teeth.)

    BD London (teeth fixed)

    BD Roula (teeth fixed)

I'm skipping the rest of the BD characters.

Was going to render B gals, but my external hard drive got knocked over and I'm starting from scratch to redownload all my products. Doing it right this time, making a folder for each one and dragging the files in. So please just skip the next few posts.
