I like supporting the male products, too. However, I just couldn't bring myself to buy the Dasan 8 bundle. I did get the figure and the HD Addon. And that crazy yellow suit. (I read it is actually a nice suit, and I've got a set of shaders just for suits.) Ashan has several products in the bundle I like and getting the bundle was cheaper than a la cart, with the purple banner discount.
Of the various pro bundles for free, I already had all of them I want, or the bases if I didn't want the bundle. I did get the Alawa bundle, though I would have waited and picked up just the base, and Divamakeup's hairs, if the bundle hadn't been free.
Here are the ten items I got with the 50% off coupon:
Snuggle Up Bundle
Jett Hair for Genesis 8 Female(s)
Adia Hair for CJ 8 and Genesis 8 Female(s)
Chilled Out Outfit for Genesis 3 Male(s)
Boho Garden
Vanille for The Girl 8
Crystals Volume 1
Modern Atrium
HH Wyvern Textures
Born In Fire for HH Wyvern
(I saved more than $40 over the sale price with the 50% off coupon. That more than paid for all the Ashan products in my cart!)
Same! I love animals and support whenever they are available. Although, it makes sales like today nearly empty in the 80% off selection.
Well, I may be a 'Dog' person (allergic to cats), but I love cats, big, little, wild or domestic, skinny or fat. They can be fierce or funny, and turn on a dime. Hmm, sounds like a Gemini. I have been collecting all the bits and bobs for the cats as they came out.
Now if we could just get Allesandro to do his thing for the long haired dogs. He has a touch that is beyond compare. I always feel like my fingers can be moved into the fur coats and be warmed and soothed by the softness.

@jewels99, There is an onsite message, (purple banner,) for 20% off:
I've no idea how many pro bundles one must own to become a "loyal Genesis 8 Pro Bundle collector," but I have more than 60… (A significant number of those were "purchased" free with one offer or another. And if I don't own the bundle, I have the core figure, except for Angharad. I'll pick her up in a month or two.)
@L'Adair I didn't receive the online purple banner on my screen. . I haven't purchased a lot of pro bundles. Thanks for letting me know.
Oops! Sorry about that. Will go back and fix it. Thank you for the heads-up! :)
@jewels99, You're welcome.
When you do purchase a pro bundle, if you can get one or more free 8 pro bundles, go for it. That will help you get to the point where you're seeing the onsite messages for additional offers. Sometimes it's for owning a specific bundle, though usually it's for owning "several". (If there are things you really don't want in those bundles, you don't have to download/install them. I use DIM and I've actually hidden an outfit I didn't like so it wouldn't keep showing up to be downloaded!)
I got the lions at the same time as the Snow Leopard.

@Fishtales,
Saw this on the commercial thread. Both look great.
Wish I could get the catalyzer to work. It did before.
The catalyzer is giving me headaches. It always says that there are no compatible items in the scene (well, something like that anyway), even though there are. But then, Daz doesn't gove me the option to register the product. There's no bar to put the code in. Not even after removing and reinstalling over and over. Ah well, will figure it out some day.
@jewels99 I saw your question got answered :) Haven't been on the thread as we have tornadoes coming in from Mississippi and they're in Alabama right now, so I figure my internet could get knocked out and I was doing Click N Ship postage to send out my troop boxes. Then I headed out to walk as it's cloudy already and balmy (quite nice!) One thing to check- even if you don't have a banner showing up, ALWAYS check your account My Account>Messages > Exclusive Offers as they may be there. :)
I got that price with the banner, but also buying the required number of add-ons.
@mori_mann, I seem to recall it was necessary to register plugins in the released version of Daz Studio, and then they would work in the beta. Could that be your issue?
I don't think that's the issue, because I'm not using the beta. But thanks for thinking along! :)
I take it it is appearing in Help/ About Plugins?
Shoot. I was hoping it was something that simple!
It turns out I had one plugin I hadn't registered yet. It was also the only plugin with a field to enter the serial number. I know there are other plugins I've registered, but just to make sure, I registered the one that wasn't registered and restarted DS. When I came back to the plugins window, that plugin looked like all the rest, without a field for entering the serial number.
Assuming it shows up in Help > About Plugins, as Sandy was asking, and shows a green "plug" icon to the right, I'd say it's already registered.
Have you tried asking the PA for help in the commercial thread for Catalyzer?
@mori_mann, I just finished a render using the LAMH Iray Catalyzer but only with help from the PA. One thing he did was have me check my settings in Daz Studio.
I found I had somehow messed up two of them.

This is the render I did with the Snow Leopard and UltraScenery.
It took an hour before it even started to coverge a render. I almost killed it before it started to converged but had stepped away for a moment and came back to it finally rendering. This is a wonderful cat. I just wish I was better at both products.
Saw the new items and my first thought was "Hell Comes to Frogtown"
Well, I'm going to assume I did register and that that is why I don't have a field to enter anything there and it says it's loaded. I usually do register stuff right away, so it's not such a strange idea that I did :)
As for the settings.. @memcneil70 The only difference is that on my machine Backface lighting is on, but switching it off made no diference (so I turned it back on) :( It still say there are no Catalyzer compliant assets to render and that I should use the standard Daz studio render button. (Which results ina very bald wolf. Or cat. Or moose. Or squirrel.. Or.. you get the idea. Even though the green hairs are all over the place and when rendering in 3DL it's all fuzzy.
it's probably a user error :)
(PS: when using the specific LAMH Catalyzer big cat figures, Daz flat out crashes. That's not very helpful either)
Messing about with the surface settings in Iray for Breaking Waves.

@mori_mann, Okay. I think we've hit on the issue. You have to load the asset with the LAMH Catalyzer object. In this case, the "specific LAMH Catalyzer big cat figures". Otherwise, there are no "Catalyzer compliant assets".
When Catalyzer first came out, it kept crashing DS on me. Between the Windows Paging file and Catalyzer needing lots of system memory, I was running out of memory. And I had 32GB of system RAM! I doubled that, buying another 32GB and Catalyzer hasn't crashed DS since. (Not a cheap solution by any means, but when I bought the computer, increasing the RAM was already planned.)
Another work around is to turn the standard LAMH preset to an OBJ, which can be done from the free LAMH Player, or convert it to fiber mesh using the full LAMH product. It's my understanding the fiber mesh is easier on the computer's resources. I do this frequently with presets from other vendors, especially those by CWRW for Hivewire animals. If you happen to have one of her presets, open the readme file, and the information on how to use the preset with Iray will be helpful. Very little is specific to the figure the LAMH is for. (And some of those presets are free, if you don't happen to own any and want that readme file!)
Well, that explains a lot :) Thanks! Sounds like I'm going to need more RAM. Which is permanently on my wishlist, so that'll happen one way or another.
I believe I have a few (quite possibly freebie) LAMH-toys from Hivewire. I'd have to see if those are by CWRW and if there's a readme with them.
Thank you so much :D
You're welcome.
The people in my survey group (for the indoor sets) please check your emails (not messages, emails.)
I got it thanks.
Those having crashing with the catalyzer I had to turn hair density down to 3 and select safe mode. After I upgraded to 32G ram I can run it at density 4 if there are not alot of stuff in scene. I usually cant render larger images either.
I cannot even render the snow leopard dforce hair at this moment without dropping to CPU it is very resource heavy it looks like. Was able to render the catalyzer version (2nd pic)
Snow Leopard with Dforce Smilodon hair (just to try it out)
Nothing yet. Even checked the spam folder. (That goes to my gmail account, right?)
@ladair I just messaged you. :)
