DPD (Daz Product Discussion) INDOOR SETS~ Now Open
To consolidate opinions and experiences relating to specific types of products, a group of 26 individuals shared their thoughts with me on their favorite/ most liked indoor sets. I approached forum members/artists who have really contributed in discussions and nice rendering of products throughout the years. I greatly respect each of them, and was not surprised that most team members took over an hour to provide the answers to the questions. Previously, there have been posts scattered everywhere about products, so my DPD threads will focus on specific TYPES of products which are favorable to buyers. (I want the main focus on having a handy reference for buyers to immediately see if a product is liked.) Participants could select up to 8 indoor sets.
This group was an excellent starting point, and future DPD topics will be open to all forum members. However, due to time constraints, participation will be in the thread once it is created. Outdoor Sets are coming soon.
This organized approach will shed light on these aspects. Artists:
1. Identified/ranked important considerations for indoor scenes, and were allowed to state another option if it wasn't listed.
2. Listed their favorites sets and gave specific reasons
3. Listed what type of indoor sets they would like to see offered
4. Listed props they would like to see offered
5. Gave suggestions for improvement for indoor sets in general.
I am working on this thread and it will take awhile to get it up and running, but the thread is now open for comments.
If you have the any of these sets, or are adding some on the thread,, consider doing some renders to add to the thread. :) Please note the focus is INDOOR SETS (meaning it can be indoor/outdoor, but we are focusing on indoor aspects or what's seen when looking out the windows/holes in walls, etc.
Again, thank you to the DPD group!
Other forum members can now contribute their thoughts while I am working on the thread (as it will take about a week to post all 26 members' input. Please jump to this post to see how to provide your input on your favorite indoor sets. Do give it some thought- these are your TOP PICKS.

Comments on:
Aslan Court Series
1. expansions, textures, palatial, Iray.
2. stunning architecture.
3. Striking lighting in a complete and coherent scene.
Aslan Theatre
Bar Interior 2018
dramatic lighting that I don't have to stress about, and it's great for period/character pieces
Baroque Grandeur Series
gorgeous, historical, add ons and textures, grand windows, palatial.
Borgia's Opulent Hall
just gorgeous.
Boxing Arena
Striking lighting in a complete and coherent scene.
Central Pump Station
ColdWar Lab
The Anfarm has great forms and textures and fairly fast renders.
Collective3d Create A Room Series (look for XPack 1,2,3)
1. Collective3D Create-A-Room Base (&ExpansPacks): very useful, with the numerous walls, moldings, windows, switches & outlets, ceilings, floors etc to create wide variety of style of interiors to user's specific needs. They all look a bit sterile (so do many real-world tract houses and McMansions) but most users do have libraries of shaders, textures and grunger/weathering add-ons to add nuance if wanted. But very useful stuff. (How many naughty interiors have NO OUTLETS or Switches visible!? This product has them for you to add to other sets that lack!)
2. versatility and comprehensive solution to creating indoor rooms
Comments on:
Collective3d Long Island Mansion
1. The groups of presets are GREAT, and it's really nice to have a whole house that can still be used in renders. Kitbashing furniture for the indoor scenes, however, is a pain.
2. Love style of house; Quality of work.
Collective3d Neighborhood Series (Block 1, Part A linked. Visit the vendor's page.)
Collective3d Portrait Vignettes Contemporary 4
1. simple small scene that is excellent for portraits, you can add other props (chairs, etc) if you want as it's just a corner set.
2. easy to use vignette
Collective3d Portrait Vignettes Horror 2
how simple is this?? a great kitchen set but also has a "bloody" preload so you can do crime or horror scenes. It's an excellent product cos it's a small simple scene that you can use in so many ways.
College Girl Dorm
gets the size and cramptness of a dorm closer than other dorms, though the desk is still too big.
County Crime Lab
The amount of work Tim put into this set and the corresponding prop set was brutally under-appreciated. Great set with lots of addons.
Creepy Old Attic
Excellent modelling, lots of props and atmospheric. The lighting can be difficult but using Kindred Arts ghost lights or Paper Tiger's X-ray camera makes a huge difference.
Crypta Sepultus
Cyberpunk Subway Station
1. CyberPunk Subway Station: similar comments as with the "Garden" above--it's a distinctive set, with it's mix of classical elements and weathered industrial; there's an abundance of interesting camera angles and focal points provided by the high, long and detailed space; interesting lighting potential with the in-set lights and the wonderfully shaped windows. Great textures and enough real-world trash & clutter to bring it to life. Lots of modularity in the build making it easier to manage resources and use the product effectively and even kitbash.
2. Allows different stories to be played out, and all cover more than a single room's worth of space.
Comments on:
Deep Underground Command Center
A complete set with multiple lighting options and lots of props and furniture.
DM's Queen's Chamber
extremely easy to light and shoot, and offers a variety of useful presets.
Downtown Loft: Living Area
1. I HATE waiting for interiors to render. Downtown Loft : Living Area has lots of windows to help. Also has good props
2. It has a lived in feel, unlike the many of the more pristine loft offerings. The quality of the modelling is excellent and importantly it is easy to move around (Mac user here). Great range of camera settings, the lighting is good (but can easily be changed using HDRs) and the building facades outside the windows are modelled (not pictures). Love the fire escape outside the window.
Dream Home Series (Great Room linked, go from there)
Quality of work. Individual rooms, fit together, empty rooms, 3DL but able to upgrade easy. McMansion though of 1980s/1990s style.
Enchanted Ballroom
was one of my first sets, and it remains a favorite. It's an easy space to shoot in, especially as a beginner, and it doesn't overwhelm the characters.
European Style Apartment
1. Flexible, well made and great value for money.
2. Top Quality, separate props
3. a complete house that has rooms of realistic sizes and is so well furnished. Though having the laundry machine in the kitchen is weird.
4. demonstrates the pride and attention to detail by the vendor. One can get lost just admiring the composition and ambience of the product(s.)
5. a composite and separate rooms options. Realistic, average person's home. Easy to modify for America. Quality of work.
6. The Euro apartment is very detailed and immediately recognisable as 'European'.
Explorer's Den
I HATE waiting for interiors to render. Has simple but effective materials that don't make renders drag. Has good props.
Comments on:
Fantasy Tavern
nice because of the two-layers and big fantasy feel.
FE Decoration Background Vol 1
I actually don't own this, or the new Volume 2, but boy I wish I did! These two sets are EXACTLY the sort of thing I love. Small vignettes perfect for portraits or small scenes, with a multitude of props that can be used on their own and in many different renders. I want this so bad! LOL.
FG Gamer Room
new and I haven't used it yet, but I love how heavily decorated it is and how it fills up the space to make a large area still fill crowded.
FG Pirate Cabin
Unique, some separate props, camera options
FG University
huge and seems to cover so much in one set. So much versatility.
Fleet Ops Series (Admiral's Ready Room, Bridge, Cabin)
1. A special shoutout to the sci-fi series of sets produced by TangoAlpha that included Admiral's Cabin, Admiral's Ready Room, Bridge, and Sci-Fi Quarterdeck. They have their shortcomings, but they offer a coherent group of sets with a particular theme (James T. Kirk meets Honor Harrington) that's a bit different from all the 2001 and Blade Runner knockoffs.
2. Have all, use repeatedly. Quality of work. Style of Sci-fi is not too over the top.
Gallerie Bastion Spacious Interior
Allows different stories to be played out, and all cover more than a single room's worth of space.
GIS Orion (*I noticed the lights and poses were not listed as additional products on the page, they're in my Product Library)
with the (now-retired?) Future Sight texture addon and Iray adaptation is simply the most attractive sci-fi set ever released by Daz, and its size and windows make it relatively easy to light and shoot.
GIS Sigma

Harwood House
Looks amazing, realistic and very versatile. I've no idea how easy it is to navigate around or how long it would take to render, but I can think of so many uses for the rooms, furniture etc.
High School Classroom Interior
This is immediately recognizable as a classroom. Took me back to my Grade 10 Math Class.
i13 Bowling Alley Environment with Poses
The i13 sets because they are fairly unique ansd because they include poses and complete scene files
i13 Coffee Shop Environment With Poses
i13 Daydream
easy to use vignette
i13 Modern Barn Environment (Several people mentioned the i13 "Environment Series" and others were specific.)
Comments on:
i13 Newsroom with Poses
The i13 sets because they are fairly unique ansd because they include poses and complete scene files
i13 Steakhouse Environment
a complete set with logical doors and windows (door to a kitchen), lots of props, glasses dishes and food.
i13 Theatre With Poses
Indoor Skate Park
Indoor Skate Park - KindredArts: an early KA product, this was one of those products I wanted despite not really needing or having real use for and wanted it strongly enough to buy at debut. Because it was different, because it looked well-done, and because the sense of light in the space seemed very compelling and potentially useful. Great environment, and of course, you can ditch the skater-ramps and other structures and set-dress this space to be a loft home, a convention center, or so many other things. Big, high-ceiling space with great windows means so many great camera angles, wonderful lighting potential.
Industrial Sci-Fi Construction Kit
Interiors The Classroom
nice layouts and fast renders.
Interiors The Diner
nice layouts and fast renders.
Kelly Lodge
dated, but I like the layout of it and the feel of the setting. Great place for adventurers to come and meet together in a private space.
KillZones The Apartment
Again, another small scene to keep your computer happy.
KillZones The Bath
KillZones The Pipe
This is freaking excellent for dramatic/horror renders, and when you want to have tentacles coming out of that pipe!!!! it's a small scene, which is great for non-beast computers.
Comments on:
Knights Pavilion
detailed set for a period style that I love
Lagoon Living
Le Village Bundle
Level 19
Medieval Dinner Hall Bundle
details and breadth of product
Medieval Interior Construction Kit (MICK)
1. The versatility of being able to create exactly the environment I want. (Of course, I have the add-ons, too.)
2. I really like this for the many options to build out an environment to suit my more fantastical renders. However, i do have some challenges when attempting to get everything authentically lit within the scene.
Medieval Merchants House Bundle
MICK Bundle
1. high-quality medieval and modular with extra props for kit-bashing.
2. Quality of work. Versatile
3. I do mostly fantasy/historical renders and it's beautifully made. MICK is built to be highly customisable, which I like.
4. flexible, easy to use, quick to set up a simple scene, but also suited to more extensive environment building; several useful add-ons
MICK 2 Gothic Pack
MICK Gothic is full of useful individual pieces and includes a superb and largely authentic Gothic Cathedral preset.
Comments on:
Militia Outpost
I know we are discussing indoor scenes but this is an item that can be used for both indoor and outdoor scenes. The outside of the “building” is as detailed as the inside. Making it suitable as a prop in the background or to go inside and use the many locations available.
Miranda's Ice Cream Parlor
cute, easy to move around, has "character"
Modern House 2 Bundle
Allows different stories to be played out, and all cover more than a single room's worth of space.
Moonshine's Diner Series, Interiors, Accessories, etc
Striking lighting in a complete and coherent scene. A plus to to entire Moonshine Diner's set of products for doing that and including exterior modeling with the same qualities.
New Brooklyn Apartment
1. Unique, separate props, good quality
2. Lots of space with different levels and nook and crannies to place a figure. Definitely has that industrial vibe that some people love and look for in a loft apartment. I’m not sure about the glass floor and wall exposing pipes and the reading area above the kitchen with no railing- seems like a recipe for disaster and possibly some kind of code violation. The number of props available to be used is outstanding. I love the bookshelf under the stairs. No space is wasted there.
Old Garage Interior
An old grunge garage. The floor could have a few more stains and maybe some chips or scratches but that is for the artist to add, right? Lots of space for various tools and toys to be stored.
Old Industrial Interior
very simple and fast with good forms and textures and big arched windows.
Open Office And Props
Ahh the open office. Where everyone’s desk looks just like everyone else’s. And everyone can hear and see everything going on.
Comments on:
Operation Theater
I like the attention to detail represented by the images on the diagnostic equipment, especially the 2 images of the brain. The scene certainly appears sterile, as an operating room should be.
Opus Magnum
great models and textures but fast render time (old but converted well to IRAY)
Oxford Library
1. Rich colors/textures, nice camera angles, renders quickly
2. unique, separate props
Rave Cave
Unique and mysterious looks at every angle, built in lighting
Rec Room
good quality, separate props, camera/light options
Reflections Victorian Series (Add-ons and related products are not listed on product page, aka Vanity Set, Victorian Desk)
Quality of work.
ROG Medieval Fantasy Bedroom
1. The sheer volume of kit-bashable props, along with amazing attention to detail.
2. demonstrates the pride and attention to detail by the vendor. One can get lost just admiring the composition and ambience of the product(s.)
3. Quality of work. Cameras.
4. I do mostly fantasy/historical renders and it's beautifully made.
5. The Fantasy Bedroom is as beautiful as the Red Crow Inn.
ROG Red Crow Inn THE #1 PICK
1. There's been fantasy taverns & hobbit houses etc before on the Daz market, so no need to release yet another... unless you UP THE GAME. This is next level. Just stunning cohesive sense of detailed worldbuilding here in this set, so much personality and wonderful style. Again, not just an irresistibly pretty face: so many spots created to be perfect for turning a camera on, so many ways to get interesting angles and lighting in this environment. Thoughtful detailing that brings it to life-- this is the kind of product, like the other 2, that bring a sense of joy & wonder at the myriad possibilities of 3d products that I wish was more prevalent in the market.
2 jam packed with details and props, realistic, great textures, feels like a movie scene set
3. Top Quality! Separate props, Good price, Unique.
4. the visual quality of this set is stunning and I can see a wide range of genre uses with this. Lots of props and there are poses available.
5. demonstrates the pride and attention to detail by the vendor. One can get lost just admiring the composition and ambience of the product(s.)
6. Quality of work. Cameras. Material options.
7. breathtaking in its detail and renders gorgeously (I am aware that it has issues with polygons in the modelling, but I only do stills so can overlook that).
Comments on:
Rural Chateau Bundle
1. Beautiful interior with expansions for additional rooms that fit, extra textures, separate furniture.
2. has several rooms with simple clean lines and furnishings.
Russian Bedroom
I love all the detail, and the appropriateness of the decor. I do wish it was easier to hide groups of props i don't need.
Sacrament
Sacrement is just a beautiful set by Jack Tomlin and has an iray update available; plus also currently trying to use it with Easter although it is a bit difficult to work with
Santa's Toy Workshop
Attention to detail, lots of props to use wherever; remove the holiday-centric items, and it's still a nice cabin.
Sci-Fi Bedroom
An older set rendered in 3DL. (I use both Iray and 3Delight and do like the option to have both sets of materials.) This one renders beautifully in 3DL, has a quality build and the widow open/closed option is a nice touch.
Sci-Fi Corridor Level 51
I do not create many Sci-Fi renders. Not all interior sets need to have props. Sometimes something simple is all that is required.
Sci Fi Crew Quarters
gives a very good lived-in look (indeed, all the stonemason sci-fi sets are at a tech level I like)
Sci-Fi Kit 2016
I love this particular set for the flexibility in creating sci-fi scenes and it connects well to other Stone Mason Sci-Fi interiors.
Comments on:
SciFi Living Bedroom
it looks awesome and somewhat "different" to what we are used to seeing in either a bedroom or a sci fi set. Plus all the props load separately so you can use bits'n'pieces in other renders.
Sci-Fi Living Quarters
SF Bedroom - DO/Mely3d: A distinctive, very "graphic" sense of style here with the high-impact Black/Yellow color scheme makes this relatively low-priced set stand out despite some details that feel kludgy or not wonderful to me; this set includes an entry door to a coordinating HALLWAY which adds useful value for anyone doing narrative imagery for comics, graphic novels, websites and animation/video, since you can have characters approaching, in the hall, on either side of the door and in the room as wanted.
Shabby Chic Kitchen
Quality work, great sense of place.
Silence
Space Station Living Quarters
probably the only futuristic setting that looks remotely comfortable/not completely boxy and stark, renders fast.
Stylish Attic
Stylish Attic - DO/Tesla3dCorp: another distinctive space & relatively low-priced set; architecturally interesting set with strong angling lines and clean forms coupled with windows to make it easy to get great lighting effects and neat camera angles and focals backed up with a nicely controlled color palette. (IMHO this was one of Tesla's more aesthetically successful sets) Like many of the later & current Tesla products, this one is made with lots of modular parts which is a plus both for using the set and for using the various parts & props in kitbashing endeavors. The furnishings are fairly minimal, in keeping with the minimalist/modernist feel of the set, but seem well-chosen. (and of course, people can and will add/subtract to the furnishings per their tastes and runtimes :)
Sugatek's Japanese Models (Link is example)
Sun Hall
Expansive, palatial throne room would fit multiple genres. So cool I don't mind converting to Iray.
The Church Bundle
Comments on:
The Gothic Library
1. LOVE libraries! Beautiful windows, doors, staircases (would like a non-distressed texture).
2. Unique
3. beautifully modelled, atmospheric and sets within the set so that it can be used multiple ways. The camera presets are always a useful start in Stonemason sets, but I usually move them to set up my own view point.
4. details and ambience
The Library
details and professionalism of this (and all) of Jack's work
The Loading Dock
A great grungy scifi set. I used it a LOT in the 3DL days - I'm too lazy to Ido ray it but I really should. LOL.
The Mad Lab
The Ministry
it's an antique by now, but it's still a gorgeous set that transfers over well to Iray. Very atmospheric.
The Pool House
The Private Garden
The Private Garden: distinctive architectural style not seen in the daz store at debut; SM understands the importance of arranging good focal visuals and interesting potentials for lighting, and this set shows his grasp of these elements and also graceful proportions. Set includes textural contrasts, looks very realistically weathered, has good windows and skylights for scene light. It's a relatively versatile set which could be set-dressed for a wedding or high tea, a horror scene or ...? Importantly, includes working doors to enter and leave the space which means people doing narrative imagery or animated/video work can make FULL USE of the set effectively.
Comments on:
The Private Library
1. it has a lived in air and the props are beautifully modelled. It's that real life feel that I prefer as opposed to a 'showroom and pristine' style set.
2. details and ambience
The Sylph Pavilion
unique and has outside view too
The Underside
I HATE waiting for interiors to render. Has simple but effective materials that don't make renders drag. The Underside renders fast in spite of being a night scene.
The Venezia Suite
1. I can pick pretty much anything by Stefan, he knows what he's doing. High-quality stuff which also includes a panorama backdrop which you don't see very often.
2. beautifully made (but less adaptable)
Triple Moon Cottage
beautiful modelling and a fantastic range of props that can be moved around or used elsewhere. PaperTiger's lights and X-ray cameras work beautifully with this.
Urban Art Studio
Comments on:
Victorian Iron Conservatory
If you are looking for Steampunk this set looks to fill the bill. I do not render either Steampunk or Victorian very often. But this set has lots of details and would work equally well for a contemporary image.
Victorian Parlor
has personality, but still has a surprising degree of flexibility, and it renders like a dream.
Vintage Changing Room and Props
Vintage Changing Room and Props - Deepsea: A modular environment and prop set; this is a distinctively styled set for creating locker rooms, corporate or gym or club showers, baths, changing rooms, etc. Like the Red Crow Inn, this is far from the first of its kind of set in the Daz market as shower/locker room sets are fairly common, but, again, like Red Crow Inn, this release UPPED THE GAME by being distinctively styled, and by providing for lots of easy flexibility for the user. Very modular, easy to add sauna/baths or not, configure the space and props as wanted. Lots of potential for good camera angles, interesting lighting and focals, attractive, realistic textures and details, lots of well-chosen props/accessories to help use the space like, for example, hanging & folded clothes etc.
Voodoo Hut
West Park Series
Iconic, versatile and actually quite portable across scenes. Jack has kept this alive with a lot of expansions too, really happy with it.
Winterblack Halls /Sets
1. I love the textures, the ability to creatively light a scene. Overall it's a solid set.
2. stunning architecture
3. All the Winterblack sets - but if I have to choose just one, then Winterblack Halls. Again, a beautiful set in a style that I love.
Woodman House: The Bathroom
Renders beautifully, has a warm feel even though it has a lot of white (creams), great lighting, woodman house is available - making it modular
This section lists additional INDOOR SETS the forum members also like and any additions by the DPD Group. (They were limited to eight products.)
Additional Indoor Sets, page two.
DPD group members were asked to rate the importance of these from 1-12, with the possibility of making the "blank" number twelve any aspect they wished, and to place it wherever they wanted they wanted. So if I didn't list their priority, they could tell me what it was and put it wherever they want. If they didn't want to add anything, they simply left 12 as 12 without further comment. (This is a nice way to get their thoughts integrated into a scaled list.) This was fascinating!
Rank in order of importance when buying an INDOOR set/scene. 1 is most important, 12 is least. Interesting!
3. All rooms: at least 1 door & it should OPEN; Apts/Lofts should include door (opens) to implied Bathroom
7. Doors that OPEN and CLOSE.
12 Mentioned in addition to hiding ceiling and walls, the ability to hide floors.
1. Quality-modelling and materials look great
4. MODULAR - so I can kitbash the heck out of it and create my unique environment.
12. Easy to use - no having to read manuals to work out what goes where etc
7: Attention to detail such as having seats on toilets, something in back of an open door, etc.
1. Rooms are realistically scaled
5. A product description that uses correct spelling and has good grammar, and that isn't phoned-in. It's an indication that the PA cares the product, and pays attention to quality.
12. Poses of people interacting with the set. I like these, but their absence is not a dealbreaker.
Note 3DL and Iray materials. I know this is a big ask. 3DL is useful for backdrop rendering and much easier on older machines / Macs.
12. Description is something other than a four word sentence. I like to be SOLD on a product and be shone that the creator has some pride in a new product.
7. This is more of a clarification on independent props – not instances: I do not mind instances as they help with resource use. What I do not like is props that are all lumped together as 1 prop...cannot be used independently for kitbashing purposes. I know this adds more work for the artist and therefore should be reflected in the price.
12. Realistic, be it Sci-fi, modern, historic for real people.
9. Rooms should have a door/entrance, which ideally should open (pet peeve).
1. Quality details are modeled in & not glossed over via excessive use of details in textures. It's a fine balance.
DPD group members were asked what type of indoor sets they would like to see more of or have offered. For brevity, some answers have been paraphrased / edited with verbage removed and noted.
1. Interiors in the Usonian or other Frank Lloyd Wright style steeped in red/warm toned crafted woods, stained glass, lots of built-ins and interesting angles and geometric-shapes.
2. Mid-century American, international style modern, bauhaus sorts of interiors and furnishings.
3. Contemporary interiors of different regions, countries, socio-economic levels that have credible, authentically curated details and props to let us visualize living spaces of people other than drones living in generic tract houses.
4. (Paraphrased) Sci-Fi interiors all seem to have hard metal panels with weathered paint in garish colors or striped accents with numbers, and ridiculous floors made of numberless panels with gaps, ventholes and sometimes blinding lights in peoples eyelines. In the future they forgot ergonomics and livability apparently. The vision of sci-fi seems to have been set in the 80s or the 90s: the kludgy bricks of devices, the graceless shapes of the spaces and accessories. Yeah, it's a near-term sci-fi vision for humankind's early days of spacefaring--not the 23rd century slick tech of Star Trek's federation, but nonetheless, this look seemed sort of retro-futurish 15 years ago and now it is feeling utterly threadbare to me in 2020.
Houses and office spaces are being 3d-printed in the real world; I read an article a couple years ago about a woman who is making solar panels in architectural builds that look like stained glass. Boeing "spins" the filaments of composites to build up the hulls of 787 Dreamliners. People are building (have been for ages) geodesic dome homes, rammed earth homes, partially underground homes (earth-sheltered), green-roof homes, so much more. So I'd really love to see well-executed near-term, future and sci-fi interiors that start bringing the myriad possibilities for the future to our runtimes now, some visions for the near future and beyond that are starting fresh from NOW instead of regurgitating aesthetics rooted in the 80s and 90s.
5. Versatility and modularity are lacking, and most of us are guilty of that really. Building everything out in kit-form and reassembling in daz is a lot of work and i think most small arch set designers have a tight turn around time. Modularity and value for money is where it's at for me as a consumer, and in the future, a vendor. Also, no more bedrooms or lounges. I'm getting quite sick of them.
6. Ordinary, everyday middle and lower income stuff, home interiors, store and shop interiors.
7. Sci fi/futuristic indoor settings that aren't completely blocky, sterile and uncomfortable looking.
8. If it is a room or corridor, something that implies there are additional rooms. For example a door that opens up and there is a hint of "more out there."
9. Places, such as lofts, that have stairs that have landings.
10. Stylized or toon type interiors.
11. Historical/quasi-historical huts, hovels, teepees, wigwams, lodges, sod house
12. Good question, can't come up with anything off the top of my head. There is a slew of living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms
13. Renaissance, Baroque palace, Fantasy throne room that doesn't have skulls, Steampunk Jules Verne style w/o unnecessary gears, English country cottage, elegant vampire gothic (no skulls, spiders or cheesy horror stuff)

14. I'm a big fan of small sets, like vignettes. I don't think there are many fantasy type small indoor sets - most of them are sci fi or horror. So would like to see more small fantasy indoor sets. Also RETRO!!! We are seriously lacking in retro sets - 50s particularly.
15. Public aquariums, museums, and theaters
16. Studios such as photo and recording
17. Sports stadiums
18. Wedding venues
19. Medical facilities, especially a properly equipped eye exam room
20. Low income housing. Small cheap apartments and such. Or even middle income small houses.
21. Stores. There's some for clothing stores and things like Fugazi's Corner Store, but I'd like to see more places for figures to go and shop or eat. Fast Food, Craft Stores, Game Stores, Book stores, big grocery stores (if ambitious). Fake versions of big chain stores.
22. For sci-fi, I'd like to see engine rooms with realistic engines of some sort; maybe with an attached machine shop. And maybe an armory (personal OR torpedo bay type)

Types of Sets Would Like To See More Of Or Offered
23. For fantasy, workshops besides blacksmith might be nice? Woodworking, Printing, Leatherwork, Brewing? I don't know if there's THAT much demand, but maybe?
24. More theaters and performance venues would be great.
25. More schools/school related sets
26. A greater variety of living spaces that normal people can afford.
27. I feel like the steampunk interiors at Daz are not great. There are some very fine realistic Edwardian/Victorian sets, that could be kitbashed to include steampunk elements, but the sets that are supposed to be steampunk laboratories, observatories, taverns, tend to be either cartoonish or unimaginative. There are of course some great airships out there, but I think they are more exteriors than interiors.
28. Sets with adequate interior lighting. I look at promos for interior scenes and how they portray lighting and the actual list of items in the set and realize that I will have a challenging time lighting the scene so I don't purchase them no matter how unique they are.
29. Homes rather than show houses.
30. Apocalyptic / Cyber / futuristic interior sets.
31 More sets where individual rooms from a house could be loaded, instead of the whole house, or linked rooms loaded. Love to be able to load a character into a specific room in a large house/set, instead of struggling to find a way to track my character down & move them where they need to be. (Like a target point.)
Types of Sets Would Like To See More Of Or Offered
32. Steampunk / Dystopian (loved the interior sets in the BBC's His Dark Materials)
33. Unusual sets - e.g. Caves or underground dwellings that could be used for fantasy / apocalyptic /adventure renders etc.
34. We've got more than enough bathrooms!
35. Real, medium to low income people's homes, some maybe from the Western USA mission style or Mid-Century Modern. Or a Sci-fi set that accepts ships have to limited space, & everything must be secured, unless in use.
36. Smaller historical buildings - I have several with nice exteriors but the insides don't look good.
37. Reasonably accurate period sets: (19xx, early/late middle ages, Roman, Greek, Aztek, Minoan, neolithic, Egyptian) houses, living areas, work environments, poor/rich, not just temples and palaces.
38. Surprise me: a fantasy / sci-fi / anything set, something off-beat or unexpected, but obviously made with attention to detail.
39. Lack of diversity in business interiors that one shops at excluding restaurants and hair styling of various sorts. Movie Theatres, Bowling Alleys, Gyms are well represented and shopping choices very limited at such businesses anyway.
40. Contemporary / sci-fi, anything city related, and life-related in general (homes, workplaces, farm, entertainment, restaurants, ...)
41.

What types of props for indoor sets would you like to see more of / are we lacking?
1. Distinctive, well-executed realistic chairs, couches in various styles which have details suitable for close-up work--corded edges, seams etc instead of just shapes without any real-world contruction details- and which have useful seating/depression morphs built in for instant convenience; lamps and accessories that are curated, distinctive and well detailed for using in close scenes, as opposed to so many accessories which are just "extras" to fill up sets and do not look interesting or credible when seen closer or add interest or meaning to the scene because they're generic or cliched.
2. Interesting feature walls as separate accessories in various styles and with differing features would be on trend and add interesting foals to bland sets; green walls, herb pocket grow panels, water feature wall niches and or panels, free-standing water feature elements, architecturally-interesting large planters or planterpods that sit on floor to hold small ornamental trees, bushes flowering masses, etc would be neat; Interesting terrariums and aquariums (which are great opportunities to have neat lighting effects that play onto the room they're placed in). Some new school and old school conversation pits and raised seating platform sets would be nice and could be dropped into other sets off in simple backdrop scenes or create-a-room sorts of sets even to add a focal point for characters.
3 Probably furniture. I have a massive library and probably around 2-3 sofas i use across scenes. I get it, they're difficult organic shapes that nobody wants to deal with, but they are useful.
4. More types of food. Oddball, humorous and eccentric things that people might have in their homes.
5. Doors that open.
6 Home offices/corners.
7 Entry halls/mudrooms.
8 Imperfect variation so that you can show the room in a more "messy" state.
9 Closets with doors that open and with clothes hanging or stuff on shelves (like walk in closet).
10 Bear rugs or other comfortable furniture pieces in front of fireplaces.
11. Historical/quasi-historical things one would see in a pioneer's home, an native american's abode/meeting place, the home of peasants in a feudal society.
12. Good quality working appliances (like fridges that actually open) There maybe some out there Im just not aware of. Also like couches and things that have morphs to help look more like someone sitting on them.
13. Food in restaurants, rich man's lighting fixtures, fancy museum picture frames, store products for sale (modern, fantasy, victorian), dForce drapery, dForce bedspreads
14. Prop / Billboards to add a number of people to the scene; for example an audience to fill a the seats in a the stadium, theater or classroom
15. Partially eaten food for restaurants

Types Of Props Like To See More Of / Lacking
16. Have to say it... Toilet paper and hand sanitizer. :p
17. TV Trays for eating while watching TV.
18. Board Games.
19. Sewing Machine.
20. Roll-top desk.
21. Rain Lamp.
22. Legos
23. 90s/00s computers.
24. Space Heater.
25. Kids' stuff. Toys, legos, blankies, glitter, baby swings ... if kids have it, it ends up EVERYWHERE. That actually goes for teens and college students. It's only once most of us get to the point where no one else will clean up for us that we become reliably tidy.
26. I would also love some books that open and close. There are almost none.
27. I feel like the Art Deco options in the store are excellent but short on set dressing: some retro plates, silverware/glassware, sculptures with mechanical or animal themes. There's some kits for turning human figures into Art Deco sculptures, so that part is covered.
28. Every day objects. I don't really believe that everyone has modern art on their walls and minimalistic furniture.

Types Of Props Like To See More Of / Lacking
29. What is off-putting about some sets is the lack of props. The rooms look empty and unused as if dressed for an estate agent viewing with pristine placement of pieces of future / items but no real evidence of human (or alien, creature etc.) occupation. Can't think of specifics but a set with a great range of props (e.g. Red Crow Inn) makes an interior set stand out and very desirable.
30. Toilets with actual seats
31. (family) games - Dominos, Scrabble, Monopoly, Jinga
32. more tables (dining_room, cocktail, end)
33. wall art (would be nice to have a "kit" comprised of frames, pictures and a script where one could add their own pics)
34. Prepared food for family style meals. Salads seem to be totally missing.
35. Tables and props for sitting on, should 'fit' the G8, G3, G2, G1, Gen4 character heights. Maybe basic sitting pose for those items?
36. Also like to see cushioned furniture look like it is soft, not like a rock hard slab. I bought one set only because the couches looked real.
37. Boys and male teens' rooms & decorations. I think there are maybe two sets for them.
38. STEM props for kids elementary on up. Distance learning props, Zoom app type screen.
39. Sleeping hammocks for Sci-fi space bedrooms.
Types Of Props Like To See More Of / Lacking
40. More historical styled furniture (what there is is often very old and doesn't look so good now)
41. Slightly worn / shabby / used furniture (options), themed sets for a trade or skill (e.g. medieval or Minoan, Egyptian etc. weaving or smithing, or .... set)
42. Properly diverse in an organized, expandable, affordable, flexible, and detailed items in a grocery store. Department store too. Example: A clothing store. Example: A rigged Genesis 8 with a "fit to" option that applies an already purchased Genesis 8 clothing item to put the clothing on a hanger and put the hanger on a department store rack.
43. Whatever goes with the scene. I'm not a huge kit-bashing person, so I rarely mess with props from one item and use them in another. For this reason, I would like everything related to that particular scene to be included. Ie: not an empty room.
