Oh got it nice! I think I´ll hide the ones that wont be used for the earring rigging and edit the rest.

I got it almost ready for resaving to the library, I noticed, the parameter sliders cant have custom colors and icons like the morphs do?

UPDATE: I just saved my newly rigged earrings into the library but when I load them again for some reason they do not fit genesis and running the transfer utility will erase my custom rig I just made I guess.

You will need to transfer figure rigging (G2F ctrl + your figure in Scene tab, then hit the scene tab dialog button and edit-rigging-transfer rigging (figure space). Then you will need to set the compatibility base (also in the Scene tab's dialog).

Okay so I selected genesis and the earrings in the scene tab. With both selected I went to Edit - Rigging - Transfer Rigging (Figure Space). Then with the both still selected I went to Edit - Set Default Compatibility Bases and I selected Genesis 2 - Female clicked Accept but the earrings still arent transferred to genesis figure. When I move her they dont move with her. What did I do wrong? : )

You need to set the compatibility base with JUST the earrings selected, sorry if that wasn't clear (both only need to be selected to transfer rigging, because you are transferring rigging from the figure to the earrings so that shared bones line up).

Did you try fitting them to her afterward? Did AutoFit come up?

So, I selected both genesis 2 and the earrings in the scene tab. With both selected I went to Edit - Rigging - Transfer Rigging (Figure Space) just like before. Then with only the earrings selected Edit - Set Default Compatibility Bases and I selected Genesis 2 - Female clicked Accept, moved the genesis figure a bit to see if they were fitting her but they werent. So I saved them into the content library, reloaded them and they still werent fitting her. No idea what I did wrong.

Could the problem be that I have either: deleted all other bones and only left the head bone with the two custom ones OR I have renamed the head bone so this is why the two head bones cant line up?

    Did you weight map them?

Oh I did but I locked and made hidden all the stuff in the parameters for all 3 bones except for the two rotation : D That might be why they arent moving : D Let me check.

    NOpe that wasnt it : ( : D

Bones in the G2F figure, or the Earrings tree?
Some skirts don't have all the bones in the scene tab (Daz Studio), beyond the legs to chest. The names thing could be it, tho remembering something about the duplicate ID's as well. Much for me to learn.

The problem must be with the bones. I just loaded from the content library the version of the earrings that fits genesis because it has transfer utility created rig, I deleted bones that werent needed and I didn´t even add any new bones, I just saved it back to the library after I deleted some bones, loaded the item again and it didnt fit the figure. So I went through the Edit - Rigging - Transfer Rigging (Figure Space) and Edit - Set Default Compatibility process but it still doesnt fit her.

Do the names of the bones you gave it match for capitalization? The hip bone's actual name is "hip" but its label is "Hip," for instance. The earring's bones need to match both name and label in order to pick up rigging through the transfer rigging (figure space) process.

Okay, the only bone left in the rigged earings is the head bone which now has the same node and label name as genesis head bone and its still not working. And I have tried it with the other version of the earrings with the transfer utility rig where I only deleted the excess bones without renaming any of them and it didnt work either.

Pack up the file tree and dropbox it for me? I'll look at it and see what happened if you like.

Okay, you only need the scene with the duf earrings file from the content library or is there anything else I need to add?

Now that I think about it, everything with bones, I've used in Studio, Always has a "Hip" as the root. You may need the Hip, Abdomen1... out to the head for that to work?

That might be true, let me try. Didnt really consider that earrings would need hip to work : D : D

Nope, that wont be it. I just realized I have a version of the earrings in my content library that ONLY has the head bone and it fits genesis....what the hell is going on : D

And I think when running transfer utility for these earrings I seelected the head template but Im not sure.

If you want to send it to me I need the library file .duf from the content library and the files from data/yourname/your product in their proper file structure.

Oh I think I just made it work somehow! I saved it to the library with a quick custom rig and it loaded again and its now working. Have no idea what was going on. I´ll see if I can save a proper custom rig. Also check out the shoes the modeling is almost done!

I had to get myself a real shoe because I just couldnt figure out how female shoes work in some parts : D

That's allot of polygons to match up the edges of, just looking at the feet and ankles there. Impressive.

Its actually only one level of subdivision and the shoe in the front doesnt fit the foot very well yet but I´ll fix that later. Also need to increase the size, the toes are sticking out a little bit in the front. : D I hope there will be no further subdivision needed I´m trying to keep it as simple as possible.

By a millimeter or so, yea. looks like the same under the heal, tho it is heard to tell not being one to wear that stuff myself. It still looks really good.

I wish I was proficient with Blender enough to toss some "Sharon Apple" earrings together and give that bone confusion a shot. they would be easy to toss together with simple cones. After them ABS sensors get into my Jeep, I'll start with that.

Thanks, it took a lot of trial and error but I made it, now its time for the zipper. And the green ones I just tried how quickly I could model another ones using zarcons pic as reference. : D I´ll render the petal earrings tomorrow in Daz in different position and save the poses. I´m gonna get some sleep so have a wonderful weekend guys!

Hey there so today I have the final rig for the earrings I hope and I also rigged the zipper. Although the zipper disappears in some poses like when genesis is lying on the ground but it doesnt matter, probably the problem will be the bone is in different location and it moves with it I guess but other than that it works fine. Also if I get it right, turning the thighs into handles will allow for much realistic position of the dress in certain poses but in every pose or every time genesis moves, the handles will be needed to be adjusted manually in order to fit the figure and the pose since they do not move with it like the rest of the rig does, right?

I think I understand what your saying dave.evert. Both the "Hip" and the "Pelvis" work that region, and it is tricky to get it correct without allot of fiddling to mend the poke-threw. Good to hear your having progress.

Before passing out last night. I got the middle-mouse-button mapped to my trackball (4 buttons, and no MMB), and managed to get part way into the first Blender set of vids. "O" blender dose not crash now when I try to move something, RAM limits, lol. The screen caps are for your and my laughter, I'll figure out where the tabs went. Blender v2.66 vs v2.71.

I need to call a friend (I've neglected doing), then get back to the studies, Thank you ALL for the inspiration.
