    Good morning!

Well, it's now the 6th, and the mini-challenge is over. I'm going to go out on a limb and not wait for Kismet2012's choice - I think we all know who entered the best render in this month's mini-challenge.

Congratulations, LG! Please check your PM.

Now we can concentrate on the main Challenge ... so Get Out And Play!

But I wanted the other one to win. ;-P

Nice entry LG. Sorry I couldn't get one together myself. It was an unexpectedly busy weekend.

Me too...that first one was a real winner. Too bad it was done with secret agent spy ink....it just disappeared!

    (Congrats LG.)

    :-)

I can almost hear Jaderail complaining about the lack of renders so far ... but it isn't my style to complain.

Since it appears folks are having trouble finding things (at least I hope that's why we haven't seen any entries yet), here are a few goodies to get you started:

Here is my entry. I have no idea if soccer was already invented in Roman / Classic times. If not, the boys here just invented it. :-)
Maybe that's why the girls are so interested in the game.

    We have an entry!

The render definitely qualifies for the theme, and I do like seeing the pre-teens have some time in the spotlight! (I like seeing the grown-ups in renders, too, folks.)

    A couple of mechanical bits:

You have the Renderosity link for "Graeco Roman (Texture for Roma Clothing above)", but that just re-directs to ShareCG. If this was my render, I'd list the ShareCg link directly (and still mark it as registration required, of course).

Coincidentally, I just bought WildMane HairStyle - it's one of the 80%-off items in the current M4 sale. I'll count it as th third of your permitted three paid items.

Boys in Greece and China were group-kicking things around long before the Caesars' time, of course, but chances are that upscale Romans like the lads you've depicted were kicking around a decapitated slave's head.

The English had a go at kicking around the decapitated heads of Julius Caesar's soldiers, but eventually settled on a leather ball, and the rules of football were finally set in stone in 1863. Rule #14 was "No more human heads being used as balls".

Oooh, I didn't know that I depicted such a brutal game. I think I could change the render and add a free skull. I believe I have one in my content library. :-)
Probably better not. How are the rules about depicting violence in this forum?
Thanks for the interesting information Dorseyland.
