    Great image Sasje! You lighting and the character are spectacular!

    The transparent cuffs on the outfit and those sleeves are great!

    Those shoulder cuffs make me scratch my head though. Not sure about that. =-)

    I like the way the back piece hangs down. Pookie Hair looks so good with that outfit! I have to laugh at the shoes- that requires a lot of balance, doesn't it?! The slight lift off the ground of the (Edit) front foot is very realistic. Looks like she can handle it. Great action pose, I do really like that one.

    I'm testing Tiami, decided to go for Callie due to Cory, and it also dropped Ron's brush set down below $9. The pricing is apparently really acting up for people (not in a good way) as the texture sets weren't giving discounts. I made a LOT of changes to Taimi, the bust, waist, hips, thighs, calves, etc, and for a cartoon gal she's rather cute. This will be a very long render time and I'm headed off to get some sleep (going on 5am)

    That offer is tempting. And I really like Tiami. In fact, I think she has a beautiful skin. My reservations about the character have to do with the derivative qualities which I just can't overcome.

    Yep, I figured there'd be things related to Callie to reward purchasers. I really like the Aiko 6 Pro Bundle (already have it) Janna Hair, Lotus, FW Lin, Miwa Anime Hair, 2 sets of poses, etc- so I'm happy to see that offered to others for a good discount. The poses that aren't in that bundle are only 1.67 and 1.99 so scoop 'em up if you bought Callie. They have a lot of "good starting point" positions for you to tweak, if you don't like the originals.

    EDIT: There are a LOT of body adjustments- chest, hip, thighs, waist- her waist was increased, the thighs increased, calves reduced, breast greatly reduced, etc.

    I used Fantasia so you could see the skin, and wanted to point out the excellent staff and shoes- quite different. I got it to kit bash as obviously this won't go in a kid's book. Background is Ron's Spider Webs. This is showing 50% off, is there a sale on Ron's right now? (I don't have time to go through all the sales pages to look at things I don't already own and find it.)

    Novica, that render is very nice and I love that skin Tiami looks nice. I like what you did making a surreal pattern out of the webs.

    You are right, it is a great value to pick up Aiko 6 content right now.

    Well, Cory is out. Hmmm, not what I expected. (Nuff said.) And the mermaid looks like she just swam out of the Red Light District with that skimpwear top- if you can even call those tops. So disappointing for what I need. Will see how the final price shakes out, I might be able to morph the top or zbrush something when I get back to doing that.

    I do like some of the Cory characters and will see what they do about the pricing. Ridiculous for 5 items.

    And I noticed in the thumbnail promos, they put two of the same product (the Aviator stuff) so it looks like there's more than 5 products. It seems like there are six but when you look at the bottom at what's included, it's a measly five. Seriously- 130+ dollars for 5 things?

    Well, considering that traditionally Mermaids were depicted completely topless, the shell and starfish "bras" are pretty tame, and are no smaller than what Ariel wore in the Disney movie.

    I have to disagree respectfully. Disney could NEVER release a mermaid like that for kids. They're not even close with the tops.

    The only difference between the Disney shell bra and the Calli shell bra is the angle of the shells (and lack of back strap). On Ariel's the shell face bottom to bottom, which allows them to connect, providing cleavage. The Callie shells are oriented vertically and are thus separated. Therefore, the breasts fall loosely. Both cover each of the breasts the same amount, however. Thus the size of the actual shells is comparable.

    It should also be noted that Ariel has smaller breasts in some of those shots (not exactly consistent there).

    Regardless, Neither is "traditionally" accurate. As I said, traditional depictions of mermaids on maps, and other manuscripts from the middle ages and renaissance, Mermaids were depicted without any bra at all. This makes sense since any clothing will add drag under water, and the more clothing, the greater the drag.

    Testing Rick. I put a semi smile on him to see the teeth. I do like that they aren't the long, typically blocky square teeth. He looks better from some angles than others. I'm not particularly in love with Cory et al, but I'm still going to test it before deciding if I am going to keep it.

    Love the Cutting Loose outfit, wow what a variety of materials available! Drifter Hair renders fairly quickly. Not ultra fast, but at a good pace.

    My goodness, when this render came in, I thought "Look at those eyes!" This is Cory clicked directly from Actor under Genesis 2 Male, I didn't pick eye color, etc. I am doing a side view right now. Have to say Oliver Hair goes well with him.

    Will add a side view in a few minutes. (EDIT: DONE)

    Someone asked about Coral vs not loading Coral on Callie, so-
    The one on the left is the Coral mermaid loaded on the G2Female base, the other is the CoralMermaid which I assume is loaded from Callie.

    I am doing plain Coral (not the mermaid) and Coral on G2F (no Callie) with a closeup of the faces. Rendering those now. Here's the mermaid renders.

    EDIT: In the second ones with the faces only, Cory is on the left, the G2F base is the one on the left.

    And here's Kirk. I used Brody Casual shirt with Fabricator applied. I thought it was sad that there was only the plain white/gray shirt, no prints at all, with that product. It's a very nice shirt, I like the folds in it.

    I really like the mermaid tail. Not a fan of the rest. Can it be added to a normal Genesis 2 female like the conforming tail made earlier?

    The male hair Jake hair has some potential. The sideburns and hair above the ears is the weak area. Even in the promo art it looks out of place. Are there any adjustments to fix that?

    When you go into Scene to the hair>head, you can bend, twist, scale but no XYZ options (I was going to move it back.) In the hair Actor morphs, you can change the hair over the ear (by 223% shown here) to get that lowered. You can NOT get that sideburn pushed more toward the ear with the morphs though. Shown in screenshot: the only two sideburn options (see first two.) I haven't tried unparenting the hair yet to see if I can move it.

    I changed the target to none and fiddled with rotating and translating and FORGET IT. The temple looks awful when you try to get the sideburns moved closer to the ear, and it would take an hour or more to get it even halfway decent- then the back doesn't do right even when you scale it to be bigger to fix the front. Not worth the effort.

    HEADS UP

    The mermaid tail and bra cups work very nicely with Effie.
    My studio crashed (eliminating all the cuss words here) after half an hour of toying with her.


    Load up the Coral Mermaid. Load up Effie or other G2 figure separately, then move the tail and bra to your new figure. Right click and do a Fit To. There are a lot of morphs and try Teen Josie for the more slender figures

    I'm trying this again real quick but need to get outside and do yard work- it's only in the 70's and temps going up fast.
